Re: How to resize a whole project and have it work right?

So, do I have to choose between scaling a video down and making it look poorly for people with lower resolutions, or creating it in a low resolution and making it look poorly for people with modern monitors? All of this means that the 20" real estate is not necessary. Demos work best optimized...

Re: MadCap will soon be visiting a West Coast city near you

Awesome session. I saw the one two years ago and it influenced - nay - compelled me to start my blog about Flare and Adobe.

Highly recommended. Mike is always a great speaker. After all, he is the one who taught my RoboHelp class just six short years ago... ;-)

Re: Pat Dear Leads Mimic Product Development

I'm a bit sour on YouTube regarding the image quality... Flash is great for video, but the scalability means that existing full-screen demos don't squash as well as ones that are tailored for the viewing window. Tailored to YouTube size demos often give improper context of viewing the entire applica...

Re: Congrats to MadCap for being a "Best Web Support" winner

MadCap Software was announced as a winner of the "Best Web Support" for a small business ( http://www.asponline.com/awards.html ). Apparently web support covers MadCap's support website, their knowledgebase website, and this forum, so that means we users helped them win! Way to go guys! (...

Re: Flare as an instructional delivery platform?

We've done the same thing with RoboHelp, Captivate, and Flash, but consider the MadCap design/development team to be demonstrably more forward-thinking than those fine folks who inherited RoboHelp from them. Again, I respect your very matter-of-fact pronouncements about Flare and readily admit that...

Re: Basic Madpak question

MadCap isn't "Stucco." MadCap wouldn't do that to you. :) So the answer is this: you can download each application separately or you can purchase the MadPak. The benefit to MadPak is that you get more bang for your buck. There is no difference in the software from the individual versions ...

Sigh... That's funny enough that I'm going to have to update my just-released Web 2.0 Technical Support Part 3 article...

Var will be pleased to know that I think your team simply reeks of competency. :P

Re: New MadCap products!

Good grief they've been busy in La Jolla... Okay, I just did several blog articles about MadCap. I was initially going to log in here just to pop off smart to Richard Ferrel & tell him that another Web 2.0 Tech Support article was up on my blog, but... Since there's some buzz here about X-Edit a...
