Re: Table resizing in PDF output
This is a long standing bug which unfortunately has yet to be fixed. This is a problem for those of us who create documentation for programming example with e.g. long URL links or long lists of numbers / characters without a space e.g. for API keys, etc. Not splitting the text seems to take priority ...

Re: Webbased review / commenting system
Hi, sorry slow reply. It's working fine but lacks workflow features. I would like the ability to mark comments as completed or fixed and filter the view to see all complete / incomplete comments. In conclusion, better than anything else we found but I still don't think it's the ideal solution. Still ...

Re: Hyperlink to output of a Target using Conditional text
Hi Dave, Thanks for your reply earlier. Can I get the advantages of conditional text with global project linking? Will this allow me to link to two different versions of the same topic (the output after conditions are included / excluded)
Thanks
Ian
Thanks

Re: Hyperlink to output of a Target using Conditional text
Hi Devjoe, thanks for your suggestion. I can see this would work but it does seem very fragile i.e. all links of this type will break if I move or rename the target file. Whereas this is not the case for normal Flare links. Why is Flare unable to calculate the path for these links?

Hyperlink to output of a Target using Conditional text
Is it possible to link to a version of a topic created using conditional text? I have two Sub Targets which I include in my Master TOC: 1 for Android and 1 for iOS. these topics share a lot of content e.g. they have the same file overview.htm which is included in both the Android version and the iOS ...

Webbased review / commenting system

I am looking for something which will allow subject matter experts to comment on the deployed stage version of our webhelp i.e. live on the web but only accessible with a username and password. We are looking for web equivalent of ...

Modifying network settings for Git - where are they stored?
My project is currently bound to GIT. I have been able to successfully push and pull changes to the remote Github repository. Unfortunately, my colleague who works in another office with stringent firewall settings has not been able to push changes. In order to resolve this problem we tried to set a ...

Re: Salesforce - Flare only or Flare with CMS
Hi Ramon,
Interesting idea; I hadn't considered that possibility. Would it not be more work though to create their own parser (re-creating conditional text, variable, etc.) rather than post-processing Flare's build system's output?

Salesforce - Flare only or Flare with CMS
Hi, does anyone know how Salesforce created their developer centre? https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.ajax.meta/ajax/sforce_api_ajax_connecting.htm I understand they use Flare. Using Flare for Modern Developer Documentation
Hi, I've been asked to recommend a tool to create developer documentation (getting started guides for programmers) with lots of code samples. The model is https://stripe.com/docs or https://www.algolia.com/doc/ruby#using-the-api i.e. frameless with side navigation. Note this is not for API reference ...

What is a knowledgebase?
Hi, I've been asked to look into creating a Knowledgebase for our product. Unfortunately Knowledgebase seems a very ill defined term. Am I correct in thinking it's basically Webhelp (HMTL or HTML5) with a comment feature? Is there anything else that I am missing, can anyone give a list features that ...

Re: Syntax Highlighting / Code Highlighting for Pdf output
I've managed to get a working solution although it's a bit of effort. Set the highlight tool ...

Hi Jason, just following up on this thread. Please submit a feature request for cross references to support link text.
