Changing the look for the dropDownHead

Post by Brian Herald »

I am looking to have my drop-down headings appear differently in PDF than they do in Webhelp. I've found that I can either:
  • - Edit the existing MadCap | dropDownHead properties in my stylesheet to affect the font and then edit the dropDownHotspot properties to affect the color or,
  • - Create a new Span style that uses the properties I want.
I am wondering if there are any strong opinions or suggestions for this scenario? I am not sure which way would be best. Has anyone done this, or maybe accomplished this another way?

Thanks,
Brian

I'm not sure I see the advantage of a span class as it seems like you're complicating the process. You do realize you can set the dropDownHotspot properties for both Print and Non-print mediums?

You can set a style to appear differently in each target by using mediums.
