Wonder if that fix worked for you?

Scanning Import Files... Collecting imported files info.
Can anyone please tell me why my Flare project hangs on this screen? See Attachment. I am using Flare 10 with TFS source control. Sometimes I have to unmap my project and then remap it to source control. When I do that, and try to open regular topics, this Scanning Import Files dialog appears random...

Two Column Word Output?
Hi, no matter what I try, I can't get a 2 column Word output to generate. The preview looks great, and if I use the page layout I created to generate a PDF is looks great, but Word never generates as 2 columns. Is this just a limitation of Word/Flare?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Automatically Resize Low DPI Images Setting
How to fix the cover page image resizing issue. 1.Open the Flare application. 2.Navigate to File>Options. 3.In the General tab deselect the option to Automatically resize low DPI images. 4.Click OK. From the version 10 Help: Starting with Flare Version 10, images that are below 96 DPI are rendered m...

It is still pretty soon to judge I think. We always upgrade to the newest version be leave the prior version installed, since you can have different versions installed.

Re: Target builds entire project, not specified TOC
Hello, I am having this problem with the Do not include "Content" folder option checked. Can someone confirm if this is a bug? It seems that way to me because in Flare 9 the HTML5 outputs fine but in 10 it outputs EVERYTHING even with this option checked. Thanks!

No this was the actual project, that you could download to your PC and open in Flare to see. It was like open-source help.

Re: Images Distorted in PDF
I have had this issue, and the only solution I have come to find is that I have capture profile settings that find the best medium between viewing a PDF on a screen vs. printing a PDF. How are your users going to use these PDFs? Are they going to view them on a computer or print them out? If the maj...

Re: Cross Reference Options Confusing
Thanks for pointing that out! I guess I assumed that we should always be setting a default style sheet for the target. But I will try not setting one, thanks!

Flare Application Help Project
Sorry the subject is so vague, what I am really asking about is the Flare application's help. I thought I remembered the actual help project for the Flare application being made available for download/access by users? There are some things in the Flare Application help that I really like and I was j...

Cross Reference Options Confusing
Xref03.png So, I now realize that your Primary Target controls what style sheet your cross references originate from. However, when you are in the Cross Reference Editor, there is a drop-down menu that looks as if it allows you to change your style sheet. My question is, if you can only have one de...

Yes, I am sure that I did reimport.
Like I said the changes were in both projects style sheets they just were not showing in that cross reference list for my project.

Re: New Cross Reference Style Not Appearing in Insert Xref List
I DID double check that it was listed under the correct medium (Default). I fixed this in a very odd and round-about way, just now. I opened the visual style editor in flare and saw that the xref styles were appearing in the global list of xrefs, but not in my project's list of xrefs. By chance I ha...

New Cross Reference Style Not Appearing in Insert Xref List
I have a project which is based off of a global template project, meaning we use the global project for all our styles and topic templates. Previously, I added a couple new cross references and updated the global project with them. Then I moved my project into TFS source control and upgraded to Flar...

Re: Capture Image Standards
The bluriness you are experiencing might be a combination of your 1.7 scaling and 200 dpi. Yes, previously I was capturing at 96 with no re-scaling and the print DPI was 300 and they were coming out blurry in the PDF. The problem I have, is if i have the DPI set at 96 for both Format and Flare Prin...

Capture Image Standards
I am just wondering if anyone cares to share examples of profiles that they use in Capture? What works best for what medium... etc.. I had an issue with setting the print image DPI to 300 in the Flare Print setting. The images would look great when printed but when viewed on a computer screen the PD...

Re: Flare 7.2, Flare 8, and TFS compatibility issues
Do you have any update on this? We are on Flare 7 but we are also looking into using TFS for source control. If we ever update to 8 we do not want to have this problem also.
