Can't search from Search results page with filters
I have an HTML5 target that I just added Search filters to. Before I added the filters, if I ran a search and didn't get the results I wanted, from the Search results page, I could type another term in the search bar to run another search and get a new set of results. After I added the Search filter...

Re: Disable Search filters for specific Target?
I just ran into this recently. I have one target that uses search filters and another that does not. I created an empty filter set and selected in the target file for the target that doesn't use filters. I also created separate search skins that don't have an icon specified for the search filter. It...

Re: Removing Search Bar Drop Down - HTML5 output
I ran into a similar problem recently. I have a Search Filter set defined that I want to include in one HTML5 target from my project, but in another HTML5 target from the same project, I don't want to include any Search filters. I finally solved this by creating an empty Filter set and selecting tha...

I'd love to be able to do this, too. Do you know if there is a way to +1 on your feature request, @Nita?

Re: Topic pop-ups and the TopNav skin
That script works great, Scott! Thanks for that. It does throw an error though, so though the popups work in my local build, they don't appear on my production site, which has a display restriction on errors. I just get an empty popup box. This occurs in all the usual browsers. Here's the error: Inv...

Re: Turning the menu proxy into an accordion menu
I've been reading through this post (thanks everyone for all the great info!) in hope of finding a way to make the menu proxy collapsible. I tried everything y'all suggested, even downloaded @David Lee's example project, but it doesn't seem to want to work, at least not as I was anticipating. What I...

Export Color Picker Palette
Does anyone know if the Saved color palette in the Flare Color Picker can be exported? I'd love to be able to share the palette with my team and import it to Mimic, but I haven't found a method to do so thus far. Any ideas?

Check out this post in the KB: http://kb.madcapsoftware.com/mobile/Bas ... eMaker.htm
The post is from a few years ago, but it still works to remedy the problem.

Re: Topic popups converted to regular hyperlinks in TopNav
Apparently, topic popups are not supported in TopNav outputs. MadCap Support opened a feature request for topic popups to be included in some future release. I also requested that they add this info to the 70004 build message so users will understand what's happening.

Topic popups converted to regular hyperlinks in TopNav
After moving to Flare v12 and converting to TopNav HTML5 output, our popup topics are no longer working. In the Build Warnings list, there are several instances of Warning ID 70004: Topic popups will be converted into regular hyperlinks. In Flare v11.x and lower, with left nav HTML5 output, the popu...

Perfect! Thanks so much for the info. I searched the forum for this issue, but didn't locate that article in my search queries.
Cheers!

Change the destination URL of the HTML5 Help header
The header of our current HTML5 Help targets links to the main page of the Help system by default, so when a user clicks the header the browser is redirected to the main page of the Help system. Our header includes our company logo, and we're looking for a way to change the destination URL of the he...

Change the orientation of the navigation pane accordions
Is there a way to change the orientation of the accordions in the navigation pane for WebHelp? It appears that you can change the location of the entire navigation pane (left, right, top, or bottom), but I haven't found a setting that changes where the accordions appear within the navigation pane. C...

Re: Upgrade Woes
Have you checked the Print Medium settings in your style sheet? It could be that something has gone awry there. What was the Medium specified in your target prior to upgrading and what Medium is specified in the target now? It could be that the PDF target is using an incorrect Medium. Perhaps someth...

Re: Upgrade Woes
My problem was not with viewing a PDF, but in generating the output from Flare. We use Acrobat Pro. As it turns out, the problem was that Flare was installed in the wrong folder. We're using Windows 7 now and there appears to be a permissions issue with the Flare installation files. If you do not sh...

Re: Upgrade Woes
I haven't been able to build a PDF target with Flare 7 either. (Our PDF User Guide is about 1200 pages/43MB.) We upgraded from 6.x to 7 last week and now I can't preview a topic with the PDF target selected, build a PDF, or print a previewed topic as a PDF. Looks like something is broken with the PD...
