Images in help not showing up after merge in Subversion
I've used Madcap and Subversion without a problem in the past. But this time, after doing my build for Webhelp and checking the files into Subversion, it's not working. The content is displaying, but the images/screens are not showing up. All of the files seemed to commit without any problem. Has ...

Missing FLPRJ file - How to recreate help?
So is there any other way besides cutting and pasting the information in each topic into a new help project? I'm really trying to avoid doing that because it's a large help system.
thanks, donna

I guess I'm still not sure how I would import it, though?

Need to Import help -- Missing FLPRJ file
I have a compiled version of WebHelp but do not have the flprj file (it was erased by accident). Is there any way to import the existing project into Flare and create a new project file so that the help can be edited?
Thanks, donna

Cannot open Contributor review file in Flare
I'm using V. 7.2.0 of Flare and am not able to open a review file (.fltrev) that was sent to me. I get an Access Denied error. Does anyone know how to resolve this? We are considering buying Contributor but it seems to be rather klugey and I want to make sure it really works before we purchase ...

Re: Toolbar icons not displayed in Webhelp
None of the standard icons that I've added are appearing. Have not had time to create a test project.

Re: Toolbar icons not displayed in Webhelp
I recreated the skin in the latest version of Flare and the toolbar icons are still not displaying properly. They only display after rolling the cursor over them. Has anyone else had this problem with version 7.1.0?

Re: Toolbar icons not displayed in Webhelp
Probably the best idea at this point. I'm hoping that will solve the problem.

Re: Toolbar icons not displayed in Webhelp
Yes, I upgraded from 4.6 to 7.1. Do you think that's the problem?
I checked the skin and everything looks okay so I'm not sure what to do at this point.
Thanks, Donna

Re: Toolbar icons not displayed in Webhelp
Thanks, Laura. I'll try that.
I just realized that the toolbars started to get wonky after I upgraded to the latest version of Flare. I wonder if I lost the skin in the process? Anyone else have a similar experience?

Re: Toolbar icons not displayed in Webhelp
I'm using the latest version of IE (IE 9) but I had the same problem with the IE 8. And I see the same problem on two different computers.

Toolbar icons not displayed in Webhelp
I'm using the latest version of Flare.
The toolbar next to the Table of Contents isn’t displaying the icons in IE. If I move my cursor over each box, the icons appear.
In FireFox they are displaying as overlapping text. Icons appear if I move my cursor over the text.

Alternatives to Contributor?
A client wants to be able to edit help files outside of MadCap Flare and return them to me to incorporate into their help system (which was created with Flare). Their version of Flare is too old to use Contributor and they don't want to upgrade. Has anyone come up with an alternative method for ...

Any way to spell out "Table of Contents?"
I'm generating Webhelp for my client (using Flare 4.2.1) and in the compiled help, the main page has the heading "TOC" above the table of contents. My client wants this spelled out as "Table of Contents" but I haven't figured out how to do it. I've gone into the Skins folder for the project but can ...

Re: Linking help to Java app
Thanks, that's very helpful! I had not see that when I first checked the MadCap Flare help.
Now that I've read this, I'm wondering which is the preferred method?

Linking help to Java app
I'm working with a new client who has never implemented context-sensitive help in an application. I've generated a header file for Java and sent it to the developer but he doesn't know what to do with it. Can anyone help?
Thanks, Donna
