Good point. I am wondering if I use no skin in 11 if it will work. I will try and report back. I will need to use the search proxy however. Hmmm.doc_guy wrote:The HTML5 skin uses jQuery for its display, so if you are using HTML5 output, you need jQuery, or the HTML5 output won't act like it is designed.

SCRIPT conflict from v10 to v11
Greetings, I have been working with support and there appears to be a difference in a SCRIPT when compiling a HTML5 project. In v10 I am using Bootstrap and the megamenu system to create navigation. It works fine in v10 if I place the script up top in the master page. When compiling the same project...

Glossary Proxy- Expanding in a topic
Is there a way to change the interaction of the Glossary Proxy? I have it inserted into a topic. It is simply a list with the headings. The expansion setting works, but only in the left pane. Can the interaction be set as well in the topic? I have looked through the CSS and could not find it. Thank ...

Phone support down?
I have tried for three days to get through to the support team for an issue. Call early in the am so I can get in the queue, but I end up hanging up after 20 minutes or so. This is not typical, anyone else having this problem?

Use bootstrap for your upper navbar. Much easier.

Flare 11 new feature incompatible with Pulse
Just letting the Pulse adopters know that yet again, they have been left with a crippled tool. The Pulse Service is NOT compatible with the new Flare 11 Top Menu output, only the tri-pane. Buried in the What's New guide, yet not depicted as with the other failures of Pulse, on the product descriptio...

Re: Flare to Confluence
Confluence uses some different methods to control its content. The markup is different. I do not even think an XSLT would work. It would seem export/import could work if there is a tool to do so...However, copy paste/format might be the only resolve.

Epic fail again
Just so you Pulse Users know, the new Top Navigation feature is NOT NOT NOT NOT compatible with Pulse. Another SNAFU for those that purchased the expensive platform with so many features that are not compatible with their own products as well as ones that do not work. Feedback from Madcap is non-exi...

Kurt,
No it does not. It will need access to the Pulse DB via an Admin credential.

Re: Do user ratings (stars) affect search results?
No, they do not.
It does not affect search results and I do not think there is a user report for topic clicked from search results.

John

Re: get automatic notifications of every comment
Hi Guys, I am very familiar with the Pulse Server. I am sorry to say there is no daily email summary reports. It is a failed feature. In revealing this to them, they simply state it is a bug, which has been submitted and may get addressed. Secondly, ONCE you add a feed, there is no way to delete it....

Hi, Our scrum masters are currently using a spreadsheet for performance metrics. I have been looking into using Google Charts. I have entered the code as instructed, however, it is not rendering in Flare. Listed below is the code I am using. <head> <!--Load the AJAX API--> <script type="text/ja...

Hello, I am trying to get Font Awesome to work with my project (with some bootstrap also.) For some reason it renders fine on the preview, there are no warnings in the build, but the icons are not displaying. Here is what I have tried in the head of my master page. <link href="../../font-awesom...

Re: Master Page Anomaly
I found that it was a the link to the bootstrap.js link. I used a link to a CDN to remain constant rather than having to maintain it via locally. Dave, thanks for the assist on the Jquery. I have since removed the second link.
Thank you.

Master Page Anomaly
Hello all, Hoping some Flare/Markup/CSS gurus can chime in here. I am using some bootstrap components in my Flare project. For some reason the navbar fails to present a submenu (onclick) when using a masterpage with the content. It does work however, when I create a new topic. I have the bootstrap.c...

Odd WYSIWYG behavior with linked stylesheets
Hi all, I am implementing some bootstrap templates (mostly for landing pages), and I have the Bootstrap stylesheets linked to the main styles.css. I have created a couple of different html styles for purposes of keeping the landing pages separate and have set them with the appropriate master-page. W...

I am experiencing some strange breaks in my TOC generation as PDF. I have uploaded it. For some reason (of which I cannot find), it is breaking at topic. Re: Enabling Social without Breaking Corporate Security?
I am sorry that no one has replied to your post or many other of the posts. We too are using Pulse which is basically half baked. Initial and current documentation is much too thin and the feature/function set is much too constrained. I know there is an evangelist for this product, however, it seems...
