I reached out to Flare Support and found somewhat of a solution - delete the Analyzer folder from your project folders and see if that improves matters. it did for me.

I've had issues with this for awhile. Changing settings in the GUI such as Show Changes and disabling Track Changes does not turn off change tracking. I love working in Flare's text view and do so whenever I can. I'm running into an odd problem!

Solved the problem! I found that having two files in a containing folder with two conditions applied to them confused Flare. My conditioning logic is firmly "Anything that is specifically excluded from this product version, excluded using THIS TAG ONLY." I broke that rule for two files. Sigh. Only ...

(SOLVED THIS ISSUE!!!) The full warning message is: "Missing file link for TOC entry with System.LinkedTitle variable."

I have a large collection of page breaks that my predecessor applied to documents that I am now in charge of. Many appear as "avoided page breaks" with a small icon at the top left of each page. Speaking of FontAwesome, I inherited an existing setup that evidently uses it, and whenever I run a docs build, I get this message:

In the XML Editor you need to ACCEPT or REJECT the changes, then turn off Track Changes. By accepting or rejecting a change you remove the crud in your text editor for that change. Work through the topic and accept or reject each change then save. I bet all the crud in the Text ...

Even after disabling Review -> Track Changes and disabling the Review -> Show Changes check box, nothing changes in the Text editor view, which is where I prefer to work. Here's an example of a change for a single space character:

This is actually under Point 7 in my original post. Disable the Primary Target's Advanced "Generate resized copies of scaled images" setting and that should get rid of those bogus file names.

It turned out to be quite simple. Somehow, the UI had failed to keep the Stylesheet Medium default under the target's Advanced page, which is (Default). Nothing was selected. Changing this to (Default) caused the font issue to magically vanish.

OMG that's insane. Right, I will attempt that with the main stylesheet.

It has the table and td classes for nl_1_nmbr_list_1 *only* (the classes have no formatting at all - just the open and close braces)

and neither for nl_nmbr_list.
