TOC asterisks appear as a different color in Webhelp
Hi all, In HTML Help we use red asterisks in the TOC to denote new or amended topics. However when we produce a web output the asterisks appear yellow and are quite difficult to see. This applies to Chrome, Firefox and IE. Is there a way of changing the color, not necessarily to red but at least to ...

Branded versions of webhelp
Hi - Is there an easy way to manage branded versions (essentially the same content but a different company name) when working with webhelp outputs without having to generate a second output accessed via a different server url?

Re: PDFs not appearing in Web Help
Thanks for the link. It was a caching issue but I'm not sure why it only seemed to affect IE where in the case of Firefox and Chrome it just worked!
Pity the majority of our customers use IE!

Re: PDFs not appearing in Web Help
AN UPDATE:
Problem seems limited to IE9 (haven't tried other versions of IE) - Help displays fine in Firefox and Chrome.

PDFs not appearing in Web Help
Hi - I have included a couple of PDFs in my Help output - set up via an External Resources folder. When I generate a build via Flare (both HTML and web help), all is fine and I can see the PDFs in the Contents and view them ok. However, when I upload the files to the server and the Help goes 'live ...

A newer version exists on the server!
I appear to have an ongoing issue with one particular (Flare 7.2) project wrt checking in changes to TFS.
When I want to check my files in the majority of files generate a 'conflicting changes' error message informing me that a newer version exists on the server. This I know not to be the case as I ...

Re: Change "Web Help" Title In Output Window?
Hi - I want to change part of the caption to CAPITALS but for some reason it reverts to initial caps after saving the changes and reopening the Webskin file.
Is this a bug?
Running Flare 7.2.0.
Thanks, Ian

Webhelp Print Preview Script Error on Win 7 m/c
Hi - Anyone experienced a script error when selecting the Print Preview option on a Windows 7 machine?
Seems ok with XP/VISTA.
Using Flare 7.2.0 and IE8.
Thanks - Ian

Re: Prevent Webhelp opening in multiple tabs
That makes more sense - I deselected the "Enable Tabbed Browssing" option and the Help opened in separate windows!
So, where do I find this link to the Help?
Thanks.

Re: Prevent Webhelp opening in multiple tabs
Hi - Yes, it only happens when I call the Help. Hyperlinks within the Help open in the same tab.
Thanks for the prompt reply.

Prevent Webhelp opening in multiple tabs
Hi - How do I prevent my Webhelp topics opening in a new tab each time I call the help?
I can see some users may prefer multiple tabs but for the time being I would like the Help to remain open in a single tab.
Is there a setting in Flare that controls this?

Moving projects from SourceSafe to TFS
Hi - We are in the process of transferring over to TFS for all our source control reqs. The Help files are currently in SourceSafe but need to be moved across to TFS. Can Flare handle this process 'automatically' by unbinding each project in turn from SS and re-binding to TFS? Is there anything I ...

Task-based Help
Hi all,
We’re trying to move away from a dialog-based help to a more task-based solution. We currently use v6.1 to generate HTML help – is there an output that is particularly suited to a task-based approach?
