Topic Missing in TOC
I have added two new topics to my help file, and despite linking them to the page and subhead like I have every other time, they are not displaying in my TOC.
I have a lengthy page with a lot of subtopics on it, so I thought there might be a limit. So I created a new page with just the missing ...

Re: Indexing for individual documents
Thanks so much - that was really helpful. I'm going for the latter solution for now, and will think about the conditional solution going forward as it will be relatively complex! Thanks again!

Indexing for individual documents
I have 5 different documents that I'm outputting from the same project - different versions (lite, pro, enterprise) of the same content.
When I create the Lite version the index for the whole project is included in the output. Is there a way to output only the indexing I've done for the specific ...

Yes, you're right. It was a leftover bookmark from Word - that fix worked. Thanks!

Re: Random bookmarks
Yes, all the bookmarks are live - they take me to a specific place in the PDF.
Both documents that this is occuring in were originally done in Word - one I imported, the other I copy/pasted. But there's nothing in the styles to indicate any sort of bookmark...

Random bookmarks
There are some random bookmarks being generated at the end of my PDF bookmark list - they are long random numbers, and I can't find anything in the source code that seems to be linking to it.
Any ideas what could be generating these bookmarks?

Footer in Page Layout - too long
The footer space in my page layout is too big for the page. When I add a table to input the date, copyright message, and page number, it doesn't display within the frame of the footer - it overhangs it quite significantly.
I've tried resizing the table, but it just snaps back to this default.

Re: Favorite bookmark not displaying topic name
The problem seems to be for every topic.
I tried what you suggested but I'm still getting the same result in the pane - long, ugly strings with the project name and filepath name...
Is there a way to at least get rid of the project name?

Favorite links path in .chm output
I put this topic in another forum but thought I'd add it here too...
When I add a favorite link in my .chm file I get a link that includes the project name as well as the topic name, with the %20 between the words of the topic.

Re: Favorite bookmark not displaying topic name
I tried deleting the Topic name in the properties but I'm getting the same result. I can't really change the topic file names to one-word titles - is there another option?
Or is there at least a way to remove the project name (EM_User Guide) from the path?
Thanks!

Favorite bookmark not displaying topic name
In my .chm file if you add a link to the Favorites list, I get a wierd link with numbers and percentages rather than the name of the topic.
Any ideas?

Mostly blank PDF
I've set up a new target in my project for a PDF (before I only had html) and the first few times I built the file, all the content in my TOC was there. I was making a couple of adjustments to the page layout and then build it again, and now only my title page is being built - and a few blank pages ...

Got it! That's great.
It does add the bookmark for you automatically - I just pick from the list of headings and it inserts it in the file.
Thanks so much!

Thanks for that - I've inserted the bookmark in the topic heading I want to link to, but I don't see the bookmark icon in the TOC file. Could you give me a bit more detail?

Re: Web Help output - Madcap branding
It's just a line across the top.
Is there a way to attach screenshots here? I don't think I can, so I can't show you what I mean. It's like a thin, horizonatal border across the top of the web page, but other than that, the rest of it is just the content of my topic.

Web Help output - Madcap branding
Is there a way to get rid of the Madcap border/branding in the webhelp output?
I am producing a single web page and I got rid of the navigation pane and all the nav buttons but the Madcap border is still across the top. Any way to get rid of it?
Thanks in advance.

Linking to a third-level heading in the TOC
My topics are broken at the H1 and H2 level, and I have a couple of topics in my TOC that are H3 that aren't linking correctly to the topic - it's linking to the H2 but not the H3.
My question is, how do I get the TOC to point to that section of the topic, rather than the parent?

Hi,
When I generate my .chm file, the name in the browser window says HTML Help. How can I edit this to reflect my product/company name?
Thanks!
