Re: Flare not generating output in onedrive folder
Thanks for t his. We moved our Flare My Projects folder and all associated with it to the C drive where it is not being picked up by OneDrive. OneDrive caused the file-path to be too long and nothing worked. Outside OneDrive it works. Also, oddly enough, moving to a new drive also cleared up some pr...

Re: Colors not correct in PDF output when printed
I've also repeatedly had this problem with my pdf outputs - the colors are correct in the web output but really off in the pdf. Thanks! I unchecked the Convert RG colors to CMYK in the pdf output and it's working!

Re: Empty glossary in PDF
Thanks, Rob, I've tried the comparisons. I checked my notes (because this has happened before once in a while to me) And at that time, MadCap told me to make certain that in my TOC, the glossary was a chapter-break type. Apparently the system is confused by having a page layout break under a new cha...

Re: Empty glossary in PDF
In your target on the Glossary tab, is the check box for your glossary file selected? I assume yes, but am trying to cover all the bases. Yup. I went excruciatingly through all the settings to make sure the ones that the documentation said needed to be set to make a glossary work were set. I get a ...

Re: Error Message: Failed to copy and resize image
Hi all, In 1 of my projects, I'm suddenly getting the "Failed to copy linked file: the specified file could not be encrypted" message. It is a photo front for a pdf - i.e., I drop it into a decoration frame behind the title page. Normally this works and my other photo fronts still work in ...

Re: Flare 9 and Subversion = Slower?
Hi all - I sent in a support request and did get a very quick answer to my problems (Thanks Lori O. :flare: whom I have quoted below.) I had 2 problems in the project - 1 which I haven't accessed since November. 1 . COULDN'T INSERT ANYTHING Somehow, I'd put items under source control that shouldn't ...

Re: Flare 9 and Subversion = Slower?
And now I'm having something more serious going on - I can't "Insert" anything - images or hyperlinks into files in either Flare 8 or Flare 9. I've logged this as a bug, too, and have sent a picture. I too have bronze maintenance. Sometimes SVN problems sort themselves out - but this is pr...

Re: Flare 9 and Subversion = Slower?
I am having some issues with Subversion and Flare 9, too. I think (?) that I've fixed them by going outside of Flare and using Windows Explorer to commit new changes to our archive.
It is also slower, which is a pain. Flare 8.1 was quick and the best for working with Subversion so far.

Re: "CSS Parser" Error Messages
Thanks for this topic everyone! :) This just happened in a very old project that we ported over from FM last year. Most of the files are clean, but one file had major errors in it. When it compiled, I kept seeing: CSS Parser: Line: 1. Char: 4. Missing colon (:)(tokens=Bold) With the tips on here, I ...

Re: Style classes in stylesheet are not visible in style window
Thanks Lisa for the tip about making certain that the Primary target is using the SAME stylesheet as the document I'm working on! I've been wondering why sometimes the Styles editor works and sometimes it doesn't. So, thanks. Sorry it didn't fix everyone's problem, but it is a little known fact that...

Re: Subversion - Nullable Object
I am also having the "nullable object" problem today. It has something to do with Subversion. However, 1 of my other projects, which is also under Subversion source control is NOT borked so I am loathe to tamper with the SVN installation. I added a huge number of files to this very large p...

Re: "This working copy is corrupt...Flare 8 and Subversion Error
Flare 8 does not work with Subversion 1.6 at all. Once you upgrade to 1.7 +, Flare 8 works again but you will probably have to recreate your working copy. ALSO you must NEVER use anything older than Flare 8 and SVN 1.7 after upgrading because SVN 1.7 does not play nicely with any previous version of...
