Re: Drag multiple topics to TOC
I'm building a new project with potentially hundreds of little topics nested in a complex folder structure. I can drag one folder containing 50 topics to a sub-node in the master TOC under a parent topic, but then the folder itself shows up in the TOC and the generated Table of Contents as well ...

Re: A parent project with children projects?
Off the top of my head, you could make the specific folder (e.g. Photos ) shared between the projects. That is, all the projects us the same Photos folder.
Or make the child projects import the photos from the parent. That is, the photos in the child projects are linked to the photos in the parent ...

What a shame you didn't attend MadWorld, there was an excellent presentation on just that thing.
I'm sure there's a webinar about it, I'll take a quick look and see if I can find it. (Webinars can be found here: https://www.madcapsoftware.com/resources/recorded-webinars.aspx#flare)

Autonumbering headings
Hi all,
I'm struggling to add autonumbering to printed output, even with the Flare help.
The required numbering is as follows:
h1 - 1..2..3.....
h2 - a..b..c.....
h3 - i..ii..iii.....
h4 - 1)...2)...3)...
For example:
1 Stuff
a Things
b Things
c Things
2 Stuff
a Things
b Things
i Bobs
ii Bobs ...

Any idea what the intended use of this Desktop Scale and Layout % is? Who would possibly want spaces inserted into words in some generated output?

It really sounds like the master stylesheet isn't being picked up during the build, for whatever reason.

You should think carefully first about what constitutes needing a new Project (each new doc? each new doc within some defined subset, such as for Product A, or for Requirements Specs, or...?). That's done the trick, TIL.devjoe wrote:Assuming you are using a PDF target for your release notes, you could set the option which sets heading levels using the TOC. Then you have a TOC for each x.y version and the x.* TOC includes each of the other ones one level indented.
