Re: Flare 9 Issues Already...
I figured out why the TOC wasn't working and it seems that you cannot build your output in V8, then V9, then V8 again or this happens. I rebuilt with V9 and it seemed t be working again after I cleared the cache on my browser. However, I still don't have any idea why Flare V9 can't handle Mimic ...

Flare 9 Issues Already...
I've run into a few problems already, and it seems every time Madcap has come out with a new version of Flare, something breaks. At this time, I have 2 projects that contain Mimic Projects, and they will not publish using Flare 9. I seem to be getting a "mimic compiler failed" error for each of the ...

Google Analytics Question
Hello,
Right now our company uses Flare to publish a few HTML 5 targets and a few Webhelp targets all internally. There is no outward facing IP for our sites, so my question is does anyone use Google Analytics in a situation like this? Or more importantly does Google Analytics work for a site that ...

Re: Help with Rounded Borders on textbox
Thank you so much! Worked like a charm! Although for whatever reason my corners still aren't rounded... Oh well at least my text boxes are working again.

Help with Rounded Borders on textbox
I've been running into some issues lately trying to get the rounded edges on text boxes. I went into the Stylesheet with notepad and added some properties so it would work (using a standard stylesheet) yet my content looks very odd now.
Here's my style:

Re: Link to HTML 5 Project not Working
The URL that displays in the address bar when I open it up in IE is this: "http://kb.customerelation.com/ce/#Customer Compliments.htm" no %20 is substituted for the space as it normally is, however the webpage functions fine. The "ce" before the # Customer is the folder that the project publishes to ...

Re: Link to HTML 5 Project not Working
I'm sorry, I forgot to mention that I've already tried it with the %20 in place of the spaces for the hyperlink inside of Flare. Instead of linking directly to the topic I desire it to (Customer Compliments) it always brings me to the landing page of that project. Are you suggesting that I rename my ...

It's an internally hosted site, so that URL won't work for anyone outside of our domain FYI.

Link to HTML 5 Project not Working
I'm having some trouble with some links in my projects. I have a few different projects right now, 2 of them are in published as Webhelp, and a few of them are published as HTML 5. I've created links on the Webhelp versions to a specific topic in HTML 5, and it seems that instead of going straight ...

HTML5 pdf Issues
I work at a call center and we publish our webhelp via Flare, I've been meaning to switch everything over to HTML5, and was well on my way until I noticed an issue with Internet Explorer 9 coupled with HTML5 output and pdf's. Apparently they don't get along. When I have a link to a pdf in my topic ...

I still need to add those certain files to my 'AutoSearch' folder though correct? And it seems if I do need to do this isn't that essentially doubling each file in my project that I want to be searchable?

HTML5 Search Upgrades
After using HTML5 for a while and playing around with a few things, I've noticed that my seach does not search within documents such as pdf's etc. I took a look at the webhelp for Flare and noticed this:

Re: Paste from Clipboard Fails
I'm having a somewhat similar issue. I just recently took over a few projects for someone who left the company. Since then I've moved all of my files to a virtual server to build and publish from a remote desktop to free up my own local PC resources. After moving to my development server I'm having ...

Creating a separate URL and Page
I'm still fairly new to Flare and I'm finding new things everyday, so there will be a few questions in this topic.
1. If I'm using an intranet 'Web Server' and would like to change the URL of my output for one of my projects I would need to make a new folder within my 'Web Server' and change the ...

Folders won't show up in Table of Contents
I'm editing an existing project, and I have a request from my end users to set up a folder structure and I'd like to fulfill this request, but everytime I create the folders they don't show up in the Table of Contents within the finished product. At first I tried to create folders and publish them ...

Re: Renaming a Project
Should I select a certain mimic movie, becuase it doesn't even let me know which mimic project it fails to compile. I'll try just picking any of them and see if that works. Thanks for all your help!

Re: Renaming a Project
I honestly don't know how to do that. I only received 2 days of training, and there are several mimic projects that are built into my Web Help projects. It's a recurring error that I receive, but I've cleaned the project after each failure and it just happens to build 1 out of the 4 times I attempt ...

Re: Renaming a Project
I've been getting this error 2-3 times a day and it takes 1hr and 9mins to build on average so I happen to waste 3-4 hours per day because of the mimic compiler failing when trying to build in Flare. The error section isn't specific at all as to what is happening. I've saved the logs if that would ...

Thanks for the reply SteveS! I will work on that tomorrow. In the meantime... I've tried to build the KB two times today but keep running into an error while building and publishing. Renaming a Project
So I'm very new to Flare, the previous owner of this project I'm working on gave me about 2 days worth of training in Flare and then left the company. The issue I'm running into is on our "Landing Page" (home page) I accidentally deleted a section that I don't yet know how to replace or fix. So what ...
