Re: First Right and Empty Left for Word?
Well, I had to use Chapter Break instead of Page Layout Break for some elements to show up properly. So I'm thinking Empty Left and First Right won't work with that restriction.

First Right and Empty Left for Word?
My projects use PDFs and HTML5 targets, but I also have a Word target to output for review. I would like to use the new First Right and Empty Left page types for the Word target, since I have never been able to get pages to start on the right conditionally. Are these new page types available for ...

Structured formatting in topic Text Editor
I'm using Flare 9.0.0
I am editing a topic in the Text Editor rather than the XML Editor. The topic includes two tables that use the same table class. One table's code is nicely formatted, broken into indented lines, easy to follow. The other table is listed on one very long line. I tried to break ...

Re: Shortcut keys-- How?
Thanks for these tips. I've been using Flare 9 for a week and couldn't figure out why Delete and Backspace stopped working. Closing and opening Flare fixed the problem, but that got old! Hopefully this will be fixed soon.

Re: Help! Word Output File : Validation Fails
We called Tech Support at Flare and were able to resolve the problem.
They had me do the following:
In Project Organizer>Targets>Word, we entered "(name of output).docx" at the Output File field. Previously it displayed the text, "default".

Re: PRE tag in Word output
I figured out how to get rid of the negative indent.
In the Text Editor, instead of:

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Search has always been so frustrating in the forums and help files. These plug-ins are terrific.

PRE tag in Word output
I have 3 targets for SDK guides - PDF, HTML5, and Word (for internal review). I am using <pre> tags for sample code. In the PDF and HTML5 outputs, the sample code looks perfect. But in the Word output, the first line in every <pre> tag is consistently bumped -1 to the left:

Wil,
That didn't do much different. Still doesn't get the formatting and the graphics. Think I'll switch over to tech support for assistance.

Word seems to ignore Cover.flpgl
I created several page layouts for a PDF target. They all work fine. I am now using those page layouts to generate a Word document for review. Word seems to ignore the Cover.flpgl file. It outputs the text in the cover.htm topic, but doesn't use the cover page layout. In the TOC, cover.htm is the ...

Re: Extra topic appearing in TOC and Content of HTML5
Whatever the problem was, I deleted that whole section and redefined it on the TOC. It's fine now. I just wondered if anyone else had a similar problem, if there was a bug that needed fixing.

Extra topic appearing in TOC and Content of HTML5
Here's a wierd problem I haven't been able to resolve. I'm generating HTML5 output that includes several book entries. One book entry has 8 subtopics in the TOC in Flare. But when I generate the HTML5, the book entry appears with 9 subtopics, and the 9th subtopic is actually a repeat of the book ...

I'm building HTML5 Help in Flare 8. When I do a Build , the View Output drop-down menu offers me a browser choice of several browsers I have used over the past month:
Mozilla Firefox
Internet Explorer
Opera

Re: Auto reimport questions
I have links like those that you describe - but each logical type of import is driven by a different .flimpfl file under Project > Import
An Import called "OldManual" brings in old material from Word - but I untick the box "Link generated files to source files" on that import from the outset - so ...

Re: Auto reimport questions
I like the condition tag you set for "ShareWithManualX" - that lets me import individual files over time as I need them, but still keep them "grouped". And it IDs the imports. Thanks for the clever use of Conditions - I'm just beginning to see so many uses for Conditions.

Auto reimport questions
I've been working with Flare 8 for about a month. I have two questions about importing files.
1. When I import an individual topic from Project A to Project B, I can see in Project B that the file was imported because it shows up in the Content Explorer under the name of the source project. But I ...

I think maybe the @media classes in the CSS are mixed up.
In the main body of the CSS file, I have:
html

}
and then further down I see:
@media non-print
{
html.HelpTopic

Hi Lisa,
I added the fonts by importing from Word. Yes, the font is in the CSS as 'Franklin Gothic Book' and 'Franklin Gothic Demi'. The font is used in all the other previews I do (yes the font is on my PC) - PDF, IE8 reading HTML5.

Firefox not using CSS font style for HTML5
Hi,
I've only been using Flare 8 for a month. I imported a Word project, retained the p and h styles from Word in Flare, and created PDF and HTML5 output. I am using one CSS for all outputs. The PDF publication is fine. The IE8 rendition of HTML5 uses my styles, too. But when I preview the HTML5 in ...
