Re: window size persistence feature and SVN (or other)

Update We've been using this filter successfully for nearly three years but recently I had a problem where I was unable to merge, rebase or cherry-pick in Git. After a lot of head scratching and lost sleep, it turned out that this filter is now causing me problems. For now I'm working around it by ...

Re: Stop the internal text editor replacing spaces with tabs

I can confirm that this is what happens when you paste content into Flare. I've discovered a related but different problem today. When Flare generates output, it seems to replace some spaces in the source files with tabs in the output. Since my company has an aggressive pull request check for files ...

PDF TOC heading levels not respected?

I have a Flare project that uses a TOC proxy so that we can generate a PDF with the TOC on page three (following the front page and copyright page). While the TOC for my target has two levels, the TOC in the output has a single level. I tried enabling the Advanced target option to *Use TOC depth for...

Stop the internal text editor replacing spaces with tabs

Hi, I have a lot of code examples to add to the help. Flare has an unfortunate habit to replacing the spaces in the code with tabs. This is a big problem for me because our Git review process rejects any pull requests that use tabs for code indentation. I would expect there to be an option somewhere...

Re: window size persistence feature and SVN (or other)

KayJay - thank you so much for posting your workaround for this bug in Flare. One of the developers at my company has just helped us set this up and it looks as if it''s the answer to my prayers. We had to make some small changes to the Sed commands to get it working, but otherwise it looks as if it...

Re: <a name="xyz"> vs <h1 id="xyz">text</h1>

I've just started using Flare - love the new "Clean XHTML" format but am horrified by the number of error messages you get when you paste the output into a validator. The use of this obsolete attribute being one of the main culprits.

Have sent them feedback.

Re: HTML file sets import

Just wanted to say thank you for raising and answering this question - I've been suffering from the same problem. With a trial version, knowing that it scrambles some output, it's difficult to know if that's also what the problem with the import of HTML files is. Putting the Pandoc-generated HTML in...

Re: Mimic dialogs all display with horizontally truncated text

Thanks for your reply, it's good to know that it works OK for other users. After trying all sorts of things out, I eventually found a solution. My laptop screen has a high resolution and this makes the fonts rather small to read. It was set up with the display size set to the default of Medium (125%...

Mimic dialogs all display with horizontally truncated text

As a long-term Captivate user, I'm evaluating Mimic at a new company because movie collections and conditions seem as if they would really helpful to us. However, I'm seeing some really odd problems with Mimic. Firstly, when I watch the training videos all the bubble captions have a rectangular butt...
