Thanks for the suggestions.
Well, our customers have very different setups. Some use IE 7, some 8, some 9.
Not knowing exactly which version of IE our customers use, just wondering if it makes sense to use normal webhelp output. What do you think?

Re: HTML5 output causes poor performance
Hi Ramon
I use IE9, and I think some of my co-writers use IE8.
None of us use any custom javascript.
We have different help projects, some are very small with a few thumbnail pictures, others are medium large with many pictures and embedded video clips where the code refers to YouTube.

HTML5 output causes poor performance
Hi
Half a year ago the documentation group in my company started using MadCap Flare and we agreed on using HTML5 output.
However, we have experienced that the browser is "hanging" when viewing the help. Checking out the task manager, the CPU value is 4 and memory used is appr. 200.000 K. That is ...

Re: Output size is inconsistent with size of iPad window
Yes, and I have not found any settings in the skin, where I can adjust the size. I am starting to think that I can only change the size in the Default.htm file in the Advanced folder in the Output folder. This means I might have to do this manually everytime I make any changes

Output size is inconsistent with size of iPad window
Hi
I am currently developing on online help for an iPad app (using WebHelp Mobile). When opening the help from the app:
1. When viewing the TOC, the right-arrows (to the very right) are not visible.
2. When viewing topics, the last 10 % (right side) of the skin/frame is sort of cut off, so that ...

Re: Remove the Home button
Solved the problem myself:
1. Open the skin in the skin editor.
2. Select Style tab, then Home button.
3. Under Background Images, set all values to None.
4. Under General, set Label to None.
Remember to clear all browser data before viewing the changes in your browser. Otherwise, the Home button ...

Remove the Home button
How do I remove/disable the Home button.
I tried to remove the <styles> element from the skin related to the Home button, but when I regenerate the output, the Home button is still there.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Anderss

What output type to user for iPad
MadCap Flare is still quite new to me, and I have experience creating HTML5 output for software.
In my company, we have developed an app for iPad, and we want to create a simple one page help file that very briefly explains what you can do with the app.
So 1 page and a close button.

Breadcrumb trail does not reflect the TOC path
In the help project I am currently working in, I have 3 TOC entries pointing to the same topic.
For some reason the breadcrumb trail only reflects 1 out of three TOC entries, regardless of how I navigate to the topic via the TOC.
Any clues?

How do I get the TOC to reflect the topic opened via URL?
I am a newbe in using Flare, and we (ScanJour) are currently in the process of making our online help "online".
There are a number of forms in our application which contain links to specific help topics. Being a newbe I just assumed that it is ok to use regular URLs. However, I am starting to get ...

Thank you both for the reply.

How to display bookmarks in TOC?
In my team we are about to change to Flare from RoboHelp. Currently I am doing some preliminary testing on how to convert a RH project to a Flare project.
In RH I could easily drag bookmarks for a particular topic from the Project viewer to the TOC. Then, in the TOC it would be displayed as a ...
