Notepad++ macro help for dirty Google Translation
I'm using Google Translate to do some quick and dirty translation of HTML5 output. I followed Jose Sermeno's helpful blog entry Plugging Topics into Google Translate (http://www.madcapsoftware.com/blog/2012/06/07/topics-into-google-translate/) and can select the appropriate languages to which to ...

Adding language links for localization on HTML5 skin
I'd like to add the country flags of our 7 translated languages as buttons on the HTML5 skin toolbar. Clicking a flag would link the user to the current page in the translated language.

Re: Wrong dates posted when I publish
I just published new HTML5 output to a new, empty folder on the FTP server within Flare. Why is the Flare publishing log saved out on the server in this new folder dated 2/13/2008, instead of today???

Clicked links not changing color in HTML5 output
One of my developers just hit me with a bug stating that the links in my HTML5 output are not changing color after being clicked. I'm using 9.1.2 to publish to HTML5 and PDF.

Re: Wrong dates posted when I publish
>And on the FTP server the files have all the old content / footer?
No. The updated files are there on the FTP server. It's just that the date is wrong.

Wrong dates posted when I publish
When publishing to our FTP doing a "Build and Publish", the files appear on the FTP but with the wrong dates ("1/30/2008" when I just published this morning). Any ideas how to fix that?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Writer Comments
What's the best way to insert and manage writer comments within Flare content files? I'm referring to the helpful text about the changes we as writers are making to the files (when and why I made the change, for example). Visible in the XML Editor as well (but not in the published versions).
Thanks!
Thanks!

Thanks for responding! This issue was in fact due to an older version of Reader. I upgraded and it went away.

Re: Why are my PDFs not searchable?
Update...
I can successfully search the PDF when I view the PDF within Flare (View Primary) but I cannot successfully search the PDF when the PDF is viewed in Reader outside of Flare.

Why are my PDFs not searchable?
I'm creating HTML5 and PDF output using 9.1.1. My HTML5 output is searchable but users cannot search the PDFs using Edit > Find in Adobe Reader.
I've scoured the this forum for answers but to no avail. What am I overlooking?
Thanks!

Changing the Locale to Chinese worked; however, I'm still seeing English in the tabs on the UI (Contents, Index, etc.). Any ideas?

Unsuccessful compiling Chinese in Flare
I'm trying to create Chinese CHMs and PDFs in Flare 9.1.1 and am experiencing that the TOC appears fine (in Chinese characters) but each topic either is displayed with non-Chinese characters or appears completely blank. The opposite is true with the PDF: TOC contains non-Chinese characters but the ...

Re: Localizing Language Skins - where's the English?
I'm in the same boat. I thought selecting the appropriate language using the Language side-tab on the Target Editor would cause the text in the skin to be translated. Where do I find the labels that need to be localized for each language within the Skin editor?
