I'm trying to make use of this script but I've managed to crash IE using it.
Load Help page
Search for something
pick the top result
Press the search button again
Press the remove highlight button
I get a brief pause and then IE crashes hard
function removeSearch() {
window.parent.document ...

Re: WebHelp output with MFC CHtmlView
Apologies to the technical authors this will get very code heavy very fast.
In essence I made an MFC C++ dll that has a CSingleDocTemplate with a CHtmlView a CFrameWnd and CDocument. This will allow you to embedd IE inside your application.
Most of that you can get from creating a sample MFC ...

Re: WebHelp output with MFC CHtmlView
In case some other developer comes along in the future and stumbles across this.
It was entirely down to the output from Flare being at fault. Other than having it rebuilt and publish and it working now I can't say what changed.

Re: Madbuild and multithreading
In this instance I'm definitely limited by the CPU as I have a maxed out core and a hard drive that's not even close to the limit.
I would counter and say there are huge benefits to be had from processing work in parallel. Just because you need one file ready before another doesn't mean you can't ...

Madbuild and multithreading
Hi all,
Is there a way to get madbuild to use more than one processor when running it directly at the command line? I've got 3 cores all sitting idle with one pegged at maximum building a project.
Thanks

Re: WebHelp output with MFC CHtmlView
Thanks for the pointers. It's likely something IE specific as Firefox and Chrome work happily. I thought I should try here, just in case, because all MadCap support has suggested so far is a link to a work around for Chrome and to try viewing the pages in IE.

Re: WebHelp output with MFC CHtmlView
Ok so it appears no one else on the forums is doing what I'm trying to do.
Let’s add a little more information to the mix and see if anyone can enlighten me.

WebHelp output with MFC CHtmlView
Hi there,
I'm trying to put together an MFC window to handle the HTML5 Webhelp out from Flare.
It's mostly complete, you can display the default.htm page and navigate around the table of contents with the main frame updating as you would expect. My problem comes when I attempt to send a user to a ...
