OK, scrap that question.
It turns out that the 2016 r2 notification was sent (on 26 October 2016) to the person who pays the bill....who works in another galaxy far, far away.
Hence my ignorance!

Re: What is Flare 2016 r2?
Like MC Hammer, while we have support in place, the last upgrade I was aware of (prior to 2017) was Flare 12.
Nothing for 2016 r2...which is puzzling! Can anyone provide the date it was released?

Flare 12 HTML5 Toolbar issue (GPL)
Thought I'd post this 'gotcha' that may be relevant if you have HTML5 tripane targets that you are migrating from Flare 11 to 12.
The issue was that since migrating from Flare 11, my toolbar buttons disappeared.
I have a 'Global' project that contains all the common 'resource' files, including the ...

Re: Flare 12: PDF output unusable!
My front cover has white text in a transparent body frame on top of a solid colour graphic.
Since installing the patch yesterday the body frame in PDF output has acquired a white background, so cover has a big solid white rectangle and is unusable.

Re: Date format within Flare
Update - after about three days, the problem returned in one of the five projects I'm working on, but not in the others.
Have informed MC support but this one is hard to pin down and I'm not hopeful of a resolution. I guess I can live with it.
Please add to this thread if you come across the same ...

Re: Date format within Flare
Update:
I raised this as a bug with Madcap support (Case 84997 should anyone ever need to refer to it).
On further investigation, it became clear that the problem only affected two (of eight) Flare projects, and that the dates were initially displayed correctly, but 'flipped' to the wrong format as ...

Date format within Flare
I'm sure there's a simple solution to this one, but I can't find it.
I want Flare to display dates (for Builds etc.) in non-US dd/mm/yyyy format, where 7th Sept is 7/9/2015 as per my Windows settings, but it stubbornly refuses to do so (see below).

Re: Flare 10 Find and Replace in Files
I've been on version 10 since it came out (now on 10.2.2) and have just encountered this one for the first time!
No wonder they can't replicate...
I'll raise a bug report anyway.

Re: Unwanted white space when breadcrumbs absent
Thanks for the reply. Have fixed it, thanks - was to do with my non-scrolling region (NSR).
My h1 and breadcrumbs both have the same pale grey background; to get the NSR to stay the same height irrespective of whether the breadcrumbs are there, I created "h1.NoBreadcrumbs" with 'top' reduced from ...

Re: Any experiences of large Flare projects (1000s of topics)?
Marjorie - Thanks for your reply. I think I'm heading down the GPL path, with (a) a 'Global' project for all the baggage (.css, page layouts, copyright etc. - not very much in here, but reusable across every product range) (b) A 'Shared' project for all topics and images that are common to more than ...

Re: Any experiences of large Flare projects (1000s of topics)?
Picking up an old thread...
I have been wrestling with the 'many products in one project' or 'one project per product with global project linking' conundrum.
The 'one project' solution seems the most practical, on the face of it, but we are likely to be internationalising some of our products (only ...

Flare 10 TOC panel behaviour
Hi,
I've recently upgraded to Flare 10 and seem to have lost one of the features I used most :(
Typically, I have the TOC docked as my LH panel, edit numerous topics and do a regular 'Save all', then right-click on the TOC and choose 'Close all documents except this one' to get a tidy workspace ...

Import from Author-it
Hi, I'm importing several projects from an old edition of Author-it (Version 4, circa 2006...don't ask).
Anyone have experience of bringing stuff over from AIT? Part way through the first of them and it's already clear I should have done a lot more tidying up pre-import. Any tips gratefully received ...

Re: Pagination issue
OK...I have fixed my own problem. Not sure how this worked, but my Title page (from an earlier test run) was in a separate .flpgl file from the others, and was set as a 'Normal' page. I have moved it into the same .flpgl as the rest, change the Type to Title, and hey presto.
I guess the page type ...

Hi, Well, my first PDF target is complete, with blank pages where I want them, a complete TOC just how I want it, 14 Chapters and 280 pages presented as expected. But I'm not quite there yet...
Thing is, I can't see how to get the document to start on the right! (you know, like documents do...)

Many thanks for these recent replies to my post - this has been my New Year task and I'm happy to say that I've now got to grips with things and have just about got what I want (notwithstanding a showstopper bug that prevented the PDF build from completing - resolved with help from MC support). Hi...this is exactly the question I was going to ask...but I see you had no replies!
I'm wrestling with print output/heading hierarchy issues and would be interested to know whether you answered your own question. If so, could you post it on this thread? Many thanks!

Hi, hope someone can help...
