Does Flare open a linked topic at the place of the bookmark?
Hello,
I have some bookmarks in a topic, and hyperlinks to these topic.htm#bookmarks. Nothing special, it works fine in pdf and webhelp outputs.
But, inside Flare, when I ctrl-click the hyperlink (or right-click > open link), the topic is open, OK, but the cursor is still in the h1, it's not located ...

Re: Selecting a Search Filter populates the search bar
Would there be a technical reason, with top-navigation skin, that prevents the selected filter to be the title of the filter dropdown, like in tripane outputs?
Does someone know why this has this been designed like that with top-nav?
Maybe the width of the selected filter is too large for mobile ...

Re: How to fake tabs? using togglers?
We often use the tabber CSS to "fake" tabs so that we have the "tabs" all in separate topic files, and the tabbed part in a snippet that goes in all the topics - this works with search.

How to fake tabs? using togglers?
I have to illustrate programming features with, for each one of them, 3 code samples in different languages, C++, .NET and ActiveX.
I would like to expose the samples as 3 tabs. When you'd click a tab, a div containing the code would be displayed (and the other ones would be hidden).

How to make all dropdown texts open by default?
Hello,
In the HTML5 outputs, all dropdown texts are automatically closed by default. The user needs to click the head to open the dd. Most of the time, this behavior is appropriate.
But I'd like to expose a software doc just like MSDN does. Everything is expanded when you load the page. For instance ...

Wow, thanks!
I didn't realize that indeed, every definition contains a gradient specification. And you also enlighten me about PIE, and hence links to PIE.htc I already saw somewhere.

Using Flare 11 and HTML5 outputs...
In the <head> of any Default.htm file, there's a <style> tag containing css styles definitions. For example:

How to save a build log with v11?
Hi everyone,
There's no "save log" button anymore in the Builds pane of v11.
There's an "open build log" button, and indeed the log opens, but there's no file in the Project Organizer/Reports folder, as with v10.
So my question is: how to save that log in a permanent file in the Reports folder (with ...

PDF stitching: how to avoid the toc entry?
I've dragged-and-dropped a PDF in my fltoc (back cover of manual). Automatically, Flare has added a toc entry in the fltoc, which is the PDF filename without extension: back-cover. OK.

Sorry, could you explain basically what you need as outputs?

How to force the PDF to have a multiple-of-4 number of pages
To be printed, PDF documents must have a number of pages divisible by four.
So far, I get the right number by tweaking manually vertical spaces, or by adding an empty topic in the toc where I want an "extra" blank page. And when the content changes (impacting length of topics), I have to re-adjust ...

Re: Should not "page-break-before: always;" work inside a DIV?
I experiment quite the same limitation in page-break application.
I have defined in my css:
.NoBreakInside{page-break-inside: avoid;}
And, at some places in my topics, I surround paragraphs with a div.NoBreakInside, just to be sure they're kept together in the output. It works perfectly.
But those ...

CSS property to span an element across multiple columns?
Hello everyone,
I have a 2-columns body frame in my page layout.
I would like my h1 to span across the two columns. Is it possible? Is there a CSS property to do that?
Thanks in advance for any hint.

How to auto-end on RIGHT page / set a page type as LAST ?
I try to append, via the page layout, a last left page in my pdf targets. This page is not an empty page, it has content (logo, addresses, colophon). And it has to be published in every manual, with, if needed, the automatic insertion of a blank right page before.
