Thanks for your reply. I had exactly the same problem with 2017 r2.
I installed the last Windows updates and I disabled Windows Defender.
I eventually managed to run the setup.
@MadCap Team, I do not feel very at ease with the idea of disabling my AntiVirus just to install a new release of Flare ...

Does Flare include a tidy tool for HTML source ?
When I open a topic file which includes a bullet list with Notepad++, my tags are correctly indented.
If I open the same topic with Flare, it puts the all the bullet list on the same line, making it unreadable. :evil: :evil:

I wanted to get rid of that old chm too but it is not possible.
We document a Microsoft Excel Add-in and if you want to embed your help in Excel, you must have a chm output :-(

I tried to use Madcap capture without rtfm, very bad idea.
MadCap Capture helped me to stay humble (or to feel idiot, don't know what suits the best)
