Maybe MadCap just name ist "HTML5" without using real HTML5 features like canvas.
We will switch to IE10 and Flare9 in a while but I hoped there would be a solution to come through this transitional phase.
However: Thanks for your reply.

Re: HTML5 - Flare 8 - Internet Explorer 8 => error
I don't like IE at all but in some environments you are forced to use it (big companies for example).
So unfortunately switch the browser is not an option.
And as MadCap stated IE8 is supported for HTML5 Output.
We would like to take advantages of this HTML5 Output and it works when exporting the ...

HTML5 - Flare 8 - Internet Explorer 8 => error
We're using Flare 8 and Flare 9 and wanted to use the HTML5 output feature.
I'm using Flare 9 and everything is OK.
My colleague uses Flare 8 and the HTML5 output leads to some errors when viewing in IE8.
We can see the design/template/skin but no content. Neither an index nor the topic-content ...

parameter is not valid
I tried to build a movie (automatic capture mode, 56 frames) as MadCap Movie Player and HTML5.
The result:
"Out of memory" (HTML5) or "invalid parameter" (HTML5 and MadCap Movie Player)
I've 3Gb RAM, how much do I need and what does "invalid parameter" means?
I haven't changed anything in the ...

Re: recording web application (loading view won't disappear)
Thanks for your fast reply.
This seems to be a workaround.
It's not what I expected because I need to hit the "print" button nearly every screen but your hint helps me

recording web application (loading view won't disappear)
I try to capture some tasks in a web application.
When I try the video mode my pc slows down and I can't reasonable use any application.
The automatic or manual mode leads to a problem that Mimic captures the frames of the application but doesn't recognize if a "loading" hint will be hide. So on ...

Re: Mini-toc proxy in topic/ Flare 8/ HTML5
I'm also searching for a way to display h2 Elements inside a topic.
Your solution works as it displays a list of (for example) h2 elements but it displays ALL h2 elements in EVERY topic. Is there a possibility to only show the h2 elements inside the topic?
