Re: creating a summary document with conditions
@Msquared: Yes I was noticing that - it really doesn't like snippets with half tables (I assumed as much). The problem is that I want to try and avoid complicated solutions - the writer maintaining this document is a very beginning Flare user and would probably get bogged down by complicated ...

Re: creating a summary document with conditions
@MSquared - Although I don't have your experience backing me in software (I'm pretty young), I do have a Master's degree in engineering... so I feel your pain when things don't seem as easy or natural as they should be :). I'll definitely put in a feature request - I really just wanted to make sure ...

creating a summary document with conditions
My company has a pretty long System Requirements document. We also publish a one-page summary of that System Requirements, with the most important information included. In my desire to single source as we are moving to Flare, I was hoping there would be a way to create an output that only included ...

Thank You! The .prop files had been renamed, but the individual who moved the project did not move the .prop files over with the entire project. I simply imported them and it seems things are working as they should. Thanks for the help.

Recapture functionality disabled
Just found out that our UI is changing two days before a documentation deadline. Since I've used Capture for all my screenshots, I wasn't worried at all - I'd just go in and click "recapture" on the few images that needed to change and be done. But...

Auto number variable {n+} not incrementing
I have read all of the documentation and searched the forums about auto numbering, but this problem is stumping me.

Re: Flare 10 released
I installed it this morning and so far not so good. I have a coloured table heading (blue) and the first cell of each table heading is now black in my output. Also, conditional text that shouldn't be displayed (and wasn't yesterday) is now visible in the output.

Re: Single sourcing images within an output type
Thanks for the reply. I already have two different targets, but they are both of the same type (pdf). Down-sampling would work if that was the only thing I wanted to change about the image, but I was hoping to be able to edit other settings that are offered with capture as well. So I'm really ...

Single sourcing images within an output type
I know you can easily single source images for online and print outputs. Is there a way to single source images within the same type of output? For example, say that you were going to send a PDF print output to a printer for a physical copy to be produced (thus wanting 300 dpi images) but you also ...

Re: Internal Error: Index was outside the bounds of the array
Thanks for the information. Even though I had already tried rebooting Flare and creating another output, nothing worked.
Then an hour later (after not touching anything) it worked. So the mystery of that error remains unsolved but at least it is building again.

Internal Error: Index was outside the bounds of the array
Hi,
There is another topic about this error already, but it deals with web-based outputs and the solutions there did not solve my problem in a PDF output.
I am baffled at what this error could mean for my documentation. I do not currently have an index in my project. Between a successful build of ...

Re: Another post on unwanted Page Breaks
None of my list-styles are set (they are all blank in all mediums) but I went ahead and checked a web-based output just in case. I was happy to see that my lists are actual lists and not tables. But, I'm glad I know of this idea anyways- checking the source code is a great way to see unwanted bits ...

Re: Another post on unwanted Page Breaks
Thanks for the clarification, none of my list items have paragraph items inside of them.
In this particular case, there is half a page of room for a single sentence of text. So, I know it isn't just an "appears to be enough room" situation. It is happening infrequently enough that I'll probably ...

Re: Another post on unwanted Page Breaks
The nature of the list items allows having only one of the list items on the first page without the document looking strange or becoming unusable.

Re: Another post on unwanted Page Breaks
I don't have any page break options set on any paragraph tags, either. I looked through all mediums on any tag even remotely related to the lists- all list item tags, ordered list tags, paragraph tags, even the image tag, but widows and orphans are not set in all of the cases.

Re: A variation on keeping images with captions
Thanks Lisa. This worked like a charm. It was a little time consuming considering I was working with already created documents, but for others attempting it, it's much easier to just edit the code of the page directly than trying to force flare to do what you want. Thanks again!

A variation on keeping images with captions
I have extensively looked through all the posts in the forum about this, but none of them quite address the issue I'm facing. I'm also aware that there probably isn't an easy solution, but I'm interested to hear ideas.

Re: Have a Topic show up in printed TOC without using a H style
I didn't even think about hidden class styles. That worked perfectly! Thank you!
I had tried putting a heading class into a header/footer to see if that would be successful, but it wasn't. Just for future reference for others who have the same problem.

Re: Have a Topic show up in printed TOC without using a H style
Thanks for the reply. The mc-heading-level setting on image DID put it into my printed TOC, but it simply showed up as a blank line with a page number. There seems to be no way to attach any sort of text or heading to the image that will show up in the TOC. Upon further research (more creative ...

Have a Topic show up in printed TOC without using a H style
I have a dilemma I haven't been able to solve yet. I have a document where I have a group of full-page images relating to a particular topic. I want the page number of the first full-sized image page to appear in the printed TOC under "Reports". However, I do not want to apply a heading to this page ...
