Multiple Phrases for Single Index Term
Hello.....
Using Flare 10.2.2, HTML5 output, no print requirement.
I've generated an auto-index and at first thought all was good.
I then noticed I wanted to add more than one "phrase" to a single "term".
That is, I have the term "Records Entry Associate".
I want to have all topics with the phrases ...

Navigation Tabs
Hello.....
Using Flare 10 with HTML5 output (no printing required).
I renamed the Glossary tab to Acronyms as that is what I need for my current project.
However, I can't seem to locate where I can change "Search Glossary" to "Search Acronyms".

Hello Nita.....I'd like ask a follow up on this if I may.
Here is one row from a table that I manually applied styles to.

Re: HTML5 TOC "Alt text"
Thanks for the reply dorcutt.
I'm not up for having to manually create this.
But it does seem curious to me that a nice feature in webhelp went away with the HTML5 output.

Got quite a few reads on this.....perhaps this is something that "went away" with an HTML5 output?

Re: Navigation Panel Hide Arrow
All,
Please excuse this post.....I figured it out right after posting.
Seems I entered "898989" for a color instead of "#898989".
Not sure why there was an arrow when the TOC was hidden to begin with, but it's good to go now.
Guess I should try and figure it out a bit more on my own before posting ...

Navigation Panel Hide Arrow
Hi folks....
I'm guessing this will be an easy on for you experts out there!
Specifics: Flare 10, HTML5 Output
I'm having a small issue with setting the color for the Navigation Panel Hide Arrow.

HTML5 TOC "Alt text"
Hello....
I recently changed the output on a set of Release Notes from WebHelp to HTML5 (Flare 10). I noticed the TOC "alt text" feature was no longer there. While it isn't critical to this project, I have other projects with longer TOC entries. I took a quick look, but didn't find any setting ...

Re: Flare Crashing
I certainly hope I'm not jinxing myself, but I've had two days of moderate Flare usage without a crash.
Started using the suggestion from sdcinvan to use split screens for the text and XML editor.
I keep the text editor screen very small at the bottom and I don't really notice it.

Thanks much for the reply.
I'm almost glad to hear someone say that v9.x was horrible for this issue!
Was starting to wonder if I had something else going on, including operator error....

Re: Flare Crashing
It's back! I went over a month without a hiccup. Had a couple of crashes yesterday and at least a half-dozen today. As before, it typically happens when I change from the Text Editor to the XML Editor. Not always, but at least 80% of the time. Not sure if I should go back to our network group and ...

Re: Flare Crashing
Thanks for all the input on this one.
I didn't actually do anything myself.
Our IT group said they reinstalled .NET and ran a ".NET Cleaner".
Either way, perhaps I'm over the hump and don't need to save files every 5 minutes!

I've gone a couple of days without a crash.
Haven't been slamming Flare for 8 hours a day, but I've put a few hours into a project.
Here's hoping all is now good!

I had our network group take a look and they ran .Net cleaner and then reinstalled .Net Framework with the appropriate Windows updates.

Re: Flare Crashing
Here are the details from the Event Viewer.
Yup, you're right.....I'm not sure what I'm looking for!
I looked at a couple of crash details and they have pretty much the same info.
Upgrading to V10 is not an option at this time.

Re: Flare Crashing
Thanks Steve....
I can't think of anything I was doing different when the crashes started.
I have not installed any new software in quite some time.
The company I work for does push Windows updates every now and then.
Nothing I can do about that.....they've got that stuff locked down pretty tight ...

Flare Crashing
Hello....I've had Flare for just over a year now and up until a month or so ago, I've had no issues. Currently using Flare 9.1.2. Over the past month, I've experience what I would call a "crash" when using the application. The program stops responding and displays the attached message. I have no ...

Re: Hyperlink to anchor in a different file
Ha!!!!! I actually found out how to fix my issue by browsing through the forum.
I saw an entry about pages not displaying properly and one of the responses mentioned "compatibility view".
Not knowing that this would really have any affect on my issue, I looked at my IE settings and sure enough ...
