Quotation mark in a variable definition changes
Hallo Peers I have several variable definitions containing screen diagonals in inch, written like this: <Variable Name="TD_PP_Screen_diagonal" Comment="all" EvaluatedDefinition="10,4"">10,4"</Variable> This looks ok in the Variables window, in the topic (t...

Re: Table - spilling over next page but top border missing
Hi, for me it is the bottom border of the last row on the first page, which is missing. This border is missing whether I have or have not applied the attribute "page-break-inside: avoid;" And, by the way, I have applied this attribute to the <p>, not to the cell or row. The footer area is ...

Re: Build fail Could not find a part of path ErrorID=10086
Anybody out there? I have this error 10086 every other time I build, so I can build once (on local C:\), everything's fine, but for the next build, Flare cannot find the path anymore. But it has no problems, saving the corresponding .mclog file in the path, it cannot find. Why is it different, the s...

You are right, I will raise a bug, as I refuse to acknowledge this as "as designed" - and it wasn't the case in older Flare versions.
thx,
Irina

Re: Alter Hyphenation-Rules
I am interested in proper hyphenation order, since I am German, too.
Up to now, I am reversing the hyphenation rules order of any word which happens to annoy me with ugly hy-
phenation.

inexplicable inline styles
Hi Forum, I am using Flare 2018 r2. My css includes styles like p.ResultatAntwort Using these styles, Flare includes all their definitions inline, so I'm getting: <p class="ResultatAntwort" MadCap:autonum="<span style="font-family: 'Wingdings';" class="mcFormatFamily&qu...

Re: do i need 2018 r2?
oh, there is one very good reason for me: The bug which changes your window pane layout, deleting the toc editor window, is fixed in 2018-r2. see here: https://forums.madcapsoftware.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=18961&p=132033&hilit=fltoc#p132033 So I recommend using 2018-r2. I hated it, when ...

Re: Snippets as table rows? Well, I never...
Hi paintedturtle, how did you achieve this? My 1-row-snippets, when in html inserted between the normal table rows, is displayed overlapping the other rows, even showing the error messages "Table Row Outside Table:" once per table cell. I am going for 1 snippet per parameter value, packed ...

Re: System.NullReferenceException when changing variable
Hi, I am using Flare 2017 r3 and have the same problem constantly.
Deleting \Analyzer seems to help.
I have the same variables file in another project, and there it works fine. So, I figured, it is not the variables file that causes the problem.

Re: Translation of hyperlinks
Hello Bettina, why do have different names for the files in different languages, in the first place? If you give them the same name in their respective language-subdirectory, you can translate the .htm files and don't need postprocessing all the links. And you can compare the subdirectories. I use t...

Re: Custom formats at import
The same problem here.
When using an old .flimp file, the mapped custom styles appear on the left side, but aren't available in the list of Flare styles. Very odd.
Is there now help in sight from MadCap?

Re: Flare Reformats My XHTML...
using flare 9.1.2, July 2014 and still the same problem: flare steals all the carriage returns/line feeds of indented tables and even displaying the file in notepad++ won't repair this.
Any new ideas how I can talk flare out of this rude behaviour?
any help very much appreciated

Re: Numbers and bullet styles not showing on FM import
(...) What is needed is a list style mapping section in the Import editor that would let you map a Frame list para style to an LI style in Flare. (...). We just started using Flare - with a huge Word legacy. The problem seems to be the same in 2014. How can you match Word formats using bulleted lis...
