HTML5 vs WebHelp
Hi, can someone please enlighten me as to the difference between HTML5 vs. WebHelp and why I would choose one over the other? Also, same question applies to WebHelp vs. WebHelp Plus.
Thank you!
Thank you!

You guys are awesome. I hadn't even thought of that workaround. Thank you Dave! Worked like a charm.

Printing thumbnails
Hi there.
I currently have most of my images set with a style that uses thumbnails for web output, meaning they appear on screen small or smaller and blurry, until users click on the image and then it pops up and appears large and clear with the nice quality I created in the file itself.

Formatting snippets in tables
Hi all. I have v10
I'm using hundreds of snippets in my documentation. Some of these snippets are designed for a specific purpose: to be the overview in a topic and to be inserted in a table where I summarize all such topics. These snippets sometimes use single paragraphs and sometimes include ...

Deleting topics
I have one global project and a whole bunch of others based on that project. From the global project, I'm connected to TFS. I don't know if any of this is relevant - just giving what I know. I'm using Flare 10.2.

Re: Mark conditional text in output?
So every single time you apply a condition, you also apply a span class?
Also what about cases where an entire chapter is conditioned?
Thanks,
RAchel

Mark conditional text in output?
Hi all. I have a condition for my upcoming version. When I publish for drops and the content isn't ready yet, I exclude the content. Easy.
Now, I want to send the output for review and I want the output to have the conditioned text highlighted so the reviewers can easily identify the text without ...

Formatting variables
Hi all. I know some of you may disagree with me, but I believe that there are certain instances in which a variable always needs to be formatted the same way. I have a case like that: I always want font formatting applied identically to the same variable (company name for example), in which case, I ...

Merging lists
Dear friends, I inherited over 600 topics with procedures that have multiple levels. Much to my dismay each level is a separate list, not embedded in its parent list, so as you can imagine, I have little to no control over the formatting. You can see the example I've attached to the post.
When I ...

Yes I;m positive I want to do this. In most cases these should be merged and there are hundreds of topics like this.

Find/Replace multiple lines
Hi all.
I'm trying to clean up my topics and get rid of all this manual stuff that was entered by my predecessor.
I need to find/replace the following in order to complete delete it:
</ol>
<ol>
This is exactly how it appears in multiple topics.
How can I search for multiple lines?

Changing stylesheets
Hi all. After researching and reading the guides, I can't even remember why anymore, but I came to the conclusion that I need to update the Stylesheets for my topics individually, one by one (as opposed to setting it in the Target). On the other hand, I wanted to do so for multiple files ...

Re: xref formatting
Thanks for your help guys. Dave Lee was right. Gotta use Tools per topic. Doing a Build did not do it automatically - which is what I was expecting, and which is why I posted the initial question.

xref formatting
In my project (which I inherited with a huge mess), the Madcap xref style is correctly defined as blue underlined, but most of the xrefs in the file appear as black. I redefined the xref style on one reference and reapplied and it works great. When I go to another misformatted xref and click Edit ...

Re: Snippet formatting in tables
Hi guys. The Help isn't really helping me. :(

Hi all.

I created snippets for terms that repeat themselves in several topics. For one snippet I didn't have the information, so I created it with one word inside, inserted it in all the relevant topics and then intended to go back and update later. These snippets mostly ...
