Thanks, Dave, for your very clear answer. I think I'll take your first suggestion to condition out new content in a topic, rather than the whole topic.

Build Behavior for Excluded Topics
Hi, Forum.
Just wondering what the standard build behavior is in the following scenario:
1) Build the entire project that includes topics A, B, C, and D.
2) Make changes to the contents of topic A and save the topic, but the changes aren't complete yet.
3) Condition topic A as "In Progress", which ...

OMG, you're right! That was it. After changing the text settings to 100% I had to sign out of Windows and then back in again - and it worked.
Thank you so much.

PDF Output: Kerning/Letter Spacing Issues
Hi Everyone.
I have a project that uses the Balboa template, which only came with an HTML5 target. I added a PDF target. The problem is that the fonts in the PDF are without kerning and so there is inconsistent space between characters, and it looks really odd. One of the things I tried was ...

Include a word in the TOC that doesn't appear in the heading
Hi, Forum.
Is there a way to include a word in the TOC that doesn't appear in the actual heading in the PDF?
Specifically, I want to add the word "NEW" to an entry in the TOC, but I don't want it appearing as part of the H2 in the topic itself. Can that be done?
Thanks for your help,
Yossi Karp

Cross reference to the number in an auto-number
Hi, All.
I have a figure caption format as follows:

Is it possible to create a cross reference to only the {n+} part of the auto-number so that I can write: See figures 1 through 5?

Thank you both for your replies.
I observed the same issue even after implementing both of your solutions. I realized that since the "back to top" only worked when the window size was reduced, there must be a setting somewhere that causes this. Indeed, I was right. In the Target file, in the Skin ...

Hi. I created a "back to top" link for my HTML5 output, using the code below. Interestingly, it works only when the browser window is maximized. If I reduce the size of the window, clicking the graphic does nothing.

Conditions inside Related Items
Hi,
In Flare 11, what is the easiest way to condition individual items inside a Related Items control?
I can manually add the code, but I am really hoping there is an easier way.
Thanks,
Yossi Karp

Performance issues with Flare 11 and SVN 1.8
I am having performance issues with Flare 11 and SVN 1.8 (and Tortoise 1.8). Whenever I try to save, insert an image, or perform similar tasks, Flare stops responding. It (almost) always starts responding again after a while. The Flare project works fine when I'm off-line (not connected to SVN).
