Also, we have three targets: one for the site with the correct initial view and one each for the two misbehaving sites.
Thank you.

Re: Nav Menu Initial View Displays with Expanded Item
Hey Dave,
We are using side nav skins. There are two: one for the site with the correct initial view, and one for two sites that are misbehaving.
I'm continuing to investigate the issue by comparing the two, but any insights you have are greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Nav Menu Initial View Displays with Expanded Item
Hello. I inherited a project and it has two HTML targets. When I view the output from one of the targets, none of the items in the navigation menu are expanded. This is the desired view (see desired-view.png attachment). When I view the output from the other target, one of the items is expanded, whi...

Re: CSS Parse Error - Missing left brace
To Steve from Steve,
That was it, thank you! I was surprised because I always thought ending a selector (with no following selector) with a semi colon is considered simply a best practice, but it looks like Flare takes it seriously.
Thanks again!

CSS Parse Error - Missing left brace
Hello, When I try opening our stylesheet, I get an error that says contains invalid CSS: Line: 620. Char: 0. Missing left brace ({) Do you want to open it as text? I opened the stylesheet with the internal text editor and looked at the offending line: .imgshadowed, .shadowed { -webkit-filter: drop-s...

Re: Mimic Does not show screen change
To anyone else who experiences this problem also, I figured out a workaround. 1) I record and build my movie. 2) I create and build a second movie that records the screen that did not get recorded in the first movie. 3) I edit the second movie, copying (to the clipboard) the frame with the screen th...

Mimic Does not show screen change
Hi, I have Mimic 8.1 and I need to record videos explaining how to use a browser-based application my company makes. I started Mimic and chose the 'Record Movie' option. During the video I clicked a button in the application's UI that displayed a new page, then performed a few other actions, and end...

Re: PDF Fonts Not Correct - After Upgrade to Windows 10
Hello psider!
Your suggestion worked, thanks so much!
In case anyone else has this problem, go to Display settings and the value of the "Change the size of text, apps, and other items" to 100%.
Please see attachment.

Re: PDF Fonts Not Correct - After Upgrade to Windows 10
Thank you doloremipsum and Psider.
I'm able to generate PDF from word with no font problems, so that suggests it is a Flare issue.
I will try setting resolution to 100% and regenerate the pdf.
Cheers,
Steve

PDF Fonts Not Correct - After Upgrade to Windows 10
Hello! I upgraded to a new laptop with Windows 10. I installed Flare (2017) and our Flare project. When I generate a PDF on this new laptop the text is some kind of monospace font I've never seen before. Among the oddities are spaces between characters where there are no spaces in the Flare topic it...

Re: Adding a font
Hi Nita,
That did not fix the problem, but thank you for suggesting.
I will probably create a new topic because the current 'Adding a Font' topic is not really descriptive of my issue. I was browsing for solutions and landed in this topic.
Regards,
Steve

Nita, no problem.
The font is indeed installed. On the other hand, I've spoken to my colleagues who are not experiencing the issue and they don't have the font installed.
Cheers!

Certainly, doloremipsum. Here is the problem. I recently upgraded to a laptop with Windows 10 and installed Flare 2017 and the Flare project we use. Re: Adding a font
Hello! I'm facing a similar problem to the one that ajturnersurrey asked on Nov 09 2010.
I'm using Flare 2017 r2. What are the steps I need to do? I tried LTinker68's solution but I think Flare has changed considerable since then.
Thank you!
Steve

MadCapAll.js Looking for nullstemmer
When I try to search for in HTML output, Flare's search tool produces unexpected behavior. 1) I publish HTML output to our documentation site. 2) I go to the site and (in Chrome) open developer tools and show the Network tab. 3) In the Flare HTML output I enter a search term in the standard search f...

Re: Full-Size Image from Thumbnail Not Displaying [Solved]
Thanks, Psider! Yes, the server is linux and it is indeed a capitalization issue. For the benefit of others: I was using a screen capture tool that saves png images as <image name>.PNG instead of <image name>.png . In my Topic I referred to <image name>.PNG because that was the correct capitalizatio...

Full-Size Image from Thumbnail Not Displaying
I'm using thumbnail images in my web output; the idea being that if you click a thumbnail, a larger image pops up. However, not all popups are working correctly. Some thumbnails when clicked result in this: popup-issue.PNG I looked at my browser's console and each click on a faulty thumbnail produce...

Completely disable search highlighting (no span tag insert)?
We're using Flare 11 with the TriPane skin for one of our projects. It includes topics with lots of code blocks, and users often search for code snippets that appear in the code blocks. In the individual search results pages, Flare inserts this HTML tag for each instance of the search term: <span cl...

Hyperlinks in Word Export Not Working
Hi, I just tried my first-ever export to Word. (Sad, but I need to export to Word so I can conduct reviews in Google docs. ) Everything worked reasonably well except for my cross-reference links, which don't work. The links are simply formatted as blue underline text and are not links. I've l...
