Number of levels displayed in printed table of contents
Hi, I have about 50 PDFs generated from one Flare project. For some targets, I a table of contents with 2 levels. In others, I need a TOC with 3 levels. So far I can't see how to do this. The number of headings displayed by a TOC proxy is defined in the CSS, meaning that if I need a TOC with more or...

Re: I million possible arrow properties and few are useful
I'm finding it impossible to create a normal-looking curved arrow. Even with the exact same properties shown in the previous image, I get an abomination. I've tried everything except extensive googling -- which I guess is my next step. Sigh.

Re: Cross-referencing - Can I use a bookmark in a Snippet?
Thank you, @doloremipsum!
TLDR: It works, but you have to insert the xref manually. (I do this by inserting an xref to a bookmark in a topic and then editing that xref to point to the bookmark in the snippet.)

Re: Cross-referencing - Can I use a bookmark in a Snippet?
The above link no longer works (which is understandable) but I wonder if any updates in Flare have made possible what OP described. I need to do the same.

Two different dropdown hotspot styles?
There are situations where I want dropdown hotspots to appear differently in print targets. (Not always. Just sometimes.) Can someone please give me a tip on how to do this? I tried these methods: Added a selector called HeadingStyleInPrint to dropDownHead. Changed the print medium format in that se...

Re: Multiple TOC proxy formats?
You don't know my situation. I'm trying to import 50-60 Word documents x 3 different languages into three different Flare projects in three different languages. BY MYSELF. And that's not my only task. I have to prioritize.

Thank you, @Nita. But at present I have neither the skill nor the time to implement that.
If someone ever reads this and has a simpler idea OR code that I could copy and customize, please post and I'll thank you for that.

Thank you for the reply.
But uugghhh. No. Three huge projects in three different languages, with multiple stylesheets in each project..... I feel like I have a tenuous grip on all the elements as it is. Too bad there's not an easier way to do this.

Multiple TOC proxy formats?
Hi, I have about 50 PDFs generated from one Flare project. I'd like to be able to select from a few different TOC styles. However, I can't find any evidence that I can create selectors for tocProxy or for p.TOC1, p.TOC2 etc. Is there any way of doing this? Or do I have to create manual TOCs every ti...

Re: How to reduce spacing between footnotes?
What is your HTML structure for the footnotes? In other words, kindly show us the code for those two footnotes. Not that that'll lead us to a solution necessasrily, but it's something I'd explore while troubleshooting. Ok, when I went to insert the code, I noticed that each footnote includes a <p> ...

Re: How to reduce spacing between footnotes?
Place the cursor in the footnote at the bottom of the page (or wherever it appears) and look in the Style box to see what style is in use. style.png In mine it is MadCap:footnote.Block . Make changes to properties of MadCap:footnote.Block in the CSS. For example, reduce the value of line-height or ...

I know I'm waking up a very old thread, but this is a problem. I could create a new medium I guess, but do I really want to create a whol...

Re: Text not wrapping in print output/PDF [FIXED]
I am having the opposite problem: I want hyphenation and have configured it, for both <body> and <p>, and for both default and for print output, in my CSS. Yet hyphenation is not happening in tables. I tried what was suggested here and selected the <td> in a table and specifically set the hyphenatio...

Footnote numbering restarts on each page of PDF output
My content is generated from topics imported from Word. The content includes footnotes.
In the output, the footnotes restart on each page. Can someone tell me how to fix this? Thank you!

Re: Non-Breaking space in the xref
@Nita Beck, when I use {pageref} in the CSS in my Swedish project it renders as "på sidan2" (like "on page2"), with no space before the page number.
Where do I change how {pageref} renders in my language? Is this a bug?

I am having this problem. The styles that are not displaying are ones that are not associated with any particular output. But they are defined in the CSS both generally and with specific changes @media print as below. So p.Varning is not selectable and is not displayed in the style chooser or the St...

People, where are you right-clicking the font? I can view the font in various places, but nowhere do I see the option Install for all users.
