Re: Icons created using IcoMoon not displayed in PDF output
I can't get this to work at all. I am using the font-face in my css and I have installed the font in Windows but when I go to insert the character and select the required font, none are displayed to select. Also I have the added complication that these icons have additional styles such as their colo...

Display skin when adding a link to open in a new window
Hi,
I've added some related topic links that open in a new window (target="_popup"). When this window opens it does not display the skin, how do I get the skin to be displayed in new windows.
Thanks
Nic.

Re: Icons created using IcoMoon not displayed in PDF output
I am using @font-face in my css and that is why I expected it to work in both the HTML5 and PDF output but for some reason it doesn't display in the PDF?

Re: Icons created using IcoMoon not displayed in PDF output
Thanks Matty, I'm going to look at your post in detail and using snippets is a great idea Lydia, not thought of that, shame I couldn't see your screen shot.

Re: Icons created using IcoMoon not displayed in PDF output
Thanks for the link - looks interesting.
Plus it would be good to know if you should use css for HTML5 and local fonts for PDF output.
Many thanks everyone for your help with this. I WILL solve it!

Hi,
Thanks for confirming that Alex. Unfortunately Icomoon does rely on you using css and code, there is no cheatsheet for you to copy and paste the icon and then apply the font

Re: Icons created using IcoMoon not displayed in PDF output
Thanks Lydia, I had already seen this thread. It's a bit disappointing that this goes back to 2006 and these icon fonts are still not supported in the PDF output. I'm going to contact Madcap directly on this. I'm surprised more people are not using these font icons in their documentation and running...

Re: Icons created using IcoMoon not displayed in PDF output
Hi,
They are not an image format. IcoMoon uses it's own font file to create the icons, a bit like font awesome if you are familiar with that.
Again, thanks for following this post, any help is welcome, I'm totally stuck with this one.
Cheers

Re: Icons created using IcoMoon not displayed in PDF output
Hi, Thanks for your reply. Just to be clear these are not icons I use for bulleted lists. They appear in the middle of a set of instructions for example: 1. Select <p><span class="p-icon-camera"></span></p> to take a snapshot of your desktop. Hope this puts it into context. Have you succes...

Icons created using IcoMoon not displayed in PDF output
Hi, I have created a help file that contains icons I created in IcoMoon. The icons display perfectly when I output to HTML5 but they don't display at all when I output to PDF. I read a post that said multiple classes are not supported in PDF output and I was using multiple classes, so thought that t...

Thanks for the reply. Find and replace is the solution I came up with too, so I think we have both handled it in the best possible way.

Re: PDF output not recognizing span tags linking to styleshe
The class is defined in a stylesheet which doesn't use mediums, so it should be using the default one.
Any other ideas?
Thanks

PDF output not recognizing span tags linking to stylesheet
Hi, I have help topics that include span tags which display an icon for example: 'Select the card you want to share and select <span class="p-icon-share im-2xblack"></span>' The icon is created using a combination of two stylesheets. When published to HTML5 this works perfectly and display...

Re: language dropdown not working properly
Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has managed to add a language drop-down menu to the toolbar or even some tips on how this might be achieved.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Many thanks

Re: Word filenames with hyphens converted to spaces on impor
Yes I'll log it as a bug.
I have used underscores in the past, but these get lost in URL links and dashes are better for search engine optimization, so I am now in the habit of using dashes.

Re: Word filenames with hyphens converted to spaces on impor
Thank you both for the reply. You were correct, it was picking the filename up from the first heading. I have now added the Field in word to customise the file name as described in the link. This works, but it still replaces the hyphen I've used in the custom filename with a space. Any further ideas...

Word filenames with hyphens converted to spaces on import
Hi, I am importing many Word Files into Flare which contain hyphens in the filename and are lowercase, for example, 'user-management.docx'. When the file is imported into Flare it creates an htm file which is automatically given the name 'User Management.htm'. My first question is: why does it remov...

Re: condition tags not working in search results
Hi Dave,
Thanks for your response. Yes I did have to enter them manually, so I guess that's why they don't work.
I will leave the title blank to pick it up from my topic heading as you suggest.
Thanks

condition tags not working in search results
I have a topic that is using condition tags within the <title> tag. The tags have been applied to the word 'Customizing' and are tagged for UK-English and US-English outputs: <title>ClassFlow Presenter - <MadCap:conditionalText MadCap:conditions="HTML5.US-EN">Customizing</MadCap:conditiona...

Just to give you an update - I have achieved this by removing some javascript from one of the published files and it all works well . See this post for details:

Re: HTML5 URL displays all paths
Thanks for getting back to me Kwag_myers. If this is normal then I'll just tidy it up with inserting '-' where the spaces are. Although I'm not sure why it created spaces as the Word files I imported don't have spaces but '-'. It isn't an issue, it just doesn't look great, especially when it include...

Flare automatically adds a list style to imported Word files
Hi, I have imported some Word documents which have been set to use a stylesheet but NOT preserve the Word styles. Thumbnail images do not display at correct size in HTML5
Hi, I have created an image class that has the Thumbnail Properties set to Popup with a max width of 150px. I have an image which is 458px x 268px in size with the above style class assigned to it. When I publish the file the image appears low resolution at 458x268 and when I click it fills the scre...
