Re: Using Div instead of table
I am trying to accomplish the alignment with CSS without a table.
I am told a table is not best practice.

Using Div instead of table
Hey all, I thought I would use you as a resource because I am having trouble figuring out how to even look this up elsewhere. I want to create some css to display a list of dates to the beginning of our topics... but I want to bring some uniformity to it. I can do what I want using a 3x2 (rows x col...

Re: Need to remove page breaks before H2 headings
Nita, tyvm. I believe I understand you fully. To the previous reply, I am talking about the h2 class, not a subclass. The problem is, i am going into my css (FMH.css) and trying to edit the page break rule for h2 and I cannot set it to default, so If I understand, when I am trying to set it to defau...

Re: Need to remove page breaks before H2 headings
I cant get the page break in the CSS to go back to default. I am getting a page break before an H2, and I can't for the life of me, remove it. The settings won't stick. They just go back to avoid every time.

Re: Insert Letter Page between Cover Page & TOC?
I should have been more specific, how do i do this?
I had a circular logic problem (clearly becuase i put the toc.htm in the toc.fltoc)
So I'm just trying to grasp how to actually do this one. Much appreciated. I'm a newbie still.

Re: Remote desktop and file renaming
Well, I personally asked about this when I came on board. But rest easy you wouldn't have kittens in this situation. They back up their network drive multiple times daily, and they keep the file iterations. So if I needed to roll back a file, it wouldn't be as easy as if we used source code, but it ...

Re: Insert Letter Page between Cover Page & TOC?
Thats great information, thank you. While Flare added the ability to easily generate the index etc, they still left the old school way to do it so that you could retain flexibility. I guess what is still lost on me is that you would create a a TOC Topic and add a TOC proxy to it? Thanks for the info!

Re: Remote desktop and file renaming
Yes, what i mean is that the project is located on a network drive and moving the project to a local drive is not an option. As far as source control, there are only 3 TWs, and each of us works on our own work streams. So while we are all working on the same project, we really don't have a need for ...

Re: Remote desktop and file renaming
Ramon, these are great solutions and I wish I could use them. But alas, the office won't allow that, and there are multiple people working on the same project, so I am not sure how the batch would deal with the variations. For now, I'll just have to limp along when it is an issue. Wait till after ho...

Re: Insert Letter Page between Cover Page & TOC?
Steve, wonderful info on how to solve the second part. Using the roman numerals first then switching back to Arabic is perfect. Thank you! For the first part, the letter, I went ahead and built it as a topic (Scanned in the signature as an image). Can you fellows clarify for me what ChoccieMuffin wa...

Insert Letter Page between Cover Page & TOC?
I want to insert a "Letter from the President" type page before the TOC, and after my cover page.
Is this possible?
Also, How do I remove page numbers form the "Letter Page" and from the TOC, so that the first topic is "Page 1"
Thanks for any help!

Re: Renaming Topics Hangs
Hey all, can you help me figure out where the analyzer folder should be?
I am having trouble locating it, but I know I have removed it before...
if it is supposed to be in the file with the \Content and \Project and \Output folders, is there any reason it might not be there (it isn't)
Thanks

Re: Renaming TOC Hangs
It also hangs on me when I try to rename topics, or anything really. or when i delete or move anything. I am told it has to do with the speed of information going across my network (it bottlenecks the speed obviously) But I can rename a topic that has multiple links with no issues, 2 seconds later t...

Re: Lists and Text next to Images?
That bullet issue is exactly what I am talking about! Glad it wasn't just me.
And yes, I did use inline coding for this item, simply because its going to be distributed once and be done.
Thanks for copying in that coding, the idea of floating the text never occurred to me.
I appreciated the help!

Re: Customizing Available Styles
Ok, I am also think maybe it is possible I had the print medium (not default) open when I made the style (not sure why i would have had that open though) Computers are magical beings anyway. I'll just see if I run into it again, now I have more tools to try and troubleshoot my error. Thanks for the ...

Re: Customizing Available Styles
Well here is the thing, last week I simply copied the style (my style name is img.PrintNoBorder) and pasted a duplicate into the css (So it pasted in one called img.PrintNoBorder1) then I erased the original. renamed this one, and it appears in all mediums now. i am not sure why the heck that fixed ...

Re: Lists and Text next to Images?
Well that is a consideration, but in this case it may be a moot point. The print version is my real goal, and whatever appearance I give it there should somewhat match the online version. It isn't a huge amount of text next to the image, just One line followed by 3 small bullet points. I ended up ma...

Re: Customizing Available Styles
Hmmm,
I thought I made the change in "medium : (default)" (which should have been our 'non-print')
Are you indicating that I need to change it twice, once in each medium?
Thanks for the help!

Thanks!

Lists and Text next to Images?
How do you put ordered list and a paragraphs next to an image in FlareV10?
I've tried all manner of floats and such. Can't I just make a specific style int he header for the page? I am trying to put an image and have the text AND an ordered list appear directly to its right.
