Re: How to hide Micro Content on specific search terms?
In the properties of the search phrase, is the use of conditions an option or perhaps deselecting the check box in the properties Include micro content in search results?

Hi there,
Not an ideal solution, but you might need multiple targets to support this (see viewtopic.php?f=9&t=33727).
thanks,
mark

Replace drop-down icons with Font Awesome icons?
Hi all
When you insert a drop-down around content in Flare, the output displays a Plus and Minus icon to show and hide the content. These icons display as background images in the css I think. Is it possible to replace these icons with Font Awesome icons?
thanks,
mark

Re: Single target with multiple TOCs?
Hi there, Just wondering if you got a reply about this? Would be interested in doing something similar. So having something like what is shown in the screenshot below and just use one target. Each tab (for example, Business operations has a TOC on the left side). The search should be capable of sear...

Re: Multimedia upload
Hi Mj,
I am using version 2021 r2. I think that option has been there a while (see attached screenshot)
I would guess that you could still add the html manually to link to videos (via iframe perhaps).
thanks,
mark

Re: Multimedia upload
Hi Mj, Vimeo has a number of paid plans (not sure which one we are on). Anyway, the paid plans offer some additional security and privacy options. However, anything put up on the internet obviously has a certain security risk so I guess you would need to assess if it is the right option for your req...

We store our videos in Vimeo and link to them from flare topics. Not sure if that is an option for you, but it works well for us.

fontawesome v6 in html output
Hi all, Not sure if this is useful for anyone, but thought it might be worth mentioning in case. We use fontawesome in our html output and wanted to upgrade to use v6. We host it ourselves as per https://fontawesome.com/docs/web/setup/host-yourself/webfonts, using a master page to reference the font...

Re: Set Java path in Flare?
Thank for letting me know Josh. Yes, I kind of gave up on it too.
The IT team in my company would not allow download from the Java links Madcap provides (that is, these https://www.madcapsoftware.com/downloads/java.aspx). I installed an equivalent OpenJDK version, but it did not work.

Re: Role-Based Content Filtering
I am not aware of a feature for that in Flare, so I guess you would have to do some additional custom work to do it. I did notice before there was some custom work to use Flare conditions to filter content in a topic based on a selected version (but it was only per topic it looks like), but potentia...

Hi Josh,
Having a similar issue so just wondering if you got it resolved? I cannot view svg files in Flare. Even though it appears I have Java installed, Flare prompts me to install Java using that pop up.
thanks,
mark

Could you apply a condition to your microcontent file and then in the Conditional Text tab of the target use the Display by Media Query action to control when the microcontent is applied. I have not tried this, it was just a thought.

Similar to the previous post, the main benefit is the automatic updates. The bronze email support is okay for random queries or issues.
I think many software companies concentrate on introducing new features ahead of fine tuning existing features.

Hi all, We are using Madcap search and are testing microcontent (v2019 R2). Our output is published to a server location and made available to our customers via a password protected website. Having a similar problem. Were either of you able to resolve it?
Unfortunately, if I create a new project using the default out-of-the-box styles and settings, it seems to work fine so it must be some setting or style I have added, but I cannot figure out what exactly.

Automatically hide the menu proxy if there only one heading?
Hi there, In our HTML output, we have a menu proxy that is set to display all the headings (h1, h2, h3,..) in the topic you are viewing and this looks fine when there is more than one heading in the topic. However, some topics, only have a heading 1 (see attached screenshot). Is it possible to hide ...
