Re: All my PDFs suddenly have pdf.props files - is this norm
I assume that the Word and PDF files you are talking about are in your project as source files, yes? Have you recently conditioned those files, individually? If so, Flare will create a props file for each one. If you instead condition the folder that contains the files, then there will be only one ...

All my PDFs suddenly have pdf.props files - is this normal?
Hi, all
I know that PROPS files are used to store image information from Capture that allows you to retain things like annotations, arrows, and so on. Why do all my PDFs and Word documents - over 150 of them - now all have associated PROPS files in their directories? I can assure you I've not ...

Re: Identifying icons/tags in XML editor?
Oh I see! I was looking inline only.
When I look at the style sheet itself, there is nothing in the display for these styles (that is, it's blank, not "none" or "block", etc.) Hmmm.... Okay then. I will go and investigate this further.
Thank you both very much for your insight!
Amanda

Re: Identifying icons/tags in XML editor?
Thanks, jjw. I've looked and there are no display tags. I have a table and a span style both with defined classes that work as expected.
I've been using these pages for months and no icons have displayed - suddenly they are everywhere. (I've not toggled any view settings that I didn't have before ...

Identifying icons/tags in XML editor?
Is there a legend?
For no apparent reason, a tag (an eye with a cross) has appeared in several places in my documents. I haven't turned anything on or off and haven't changed anything. The output seems fine, but they are annoying me and I need to know what they mean :)

Re: Flare 2016 r2 too slow to use
I am also having this issue. I'll select text (to delete or move or italicize...) and the mouse lag is so bad it's almost unworkable. Not to mention checking in and syncing files! I am doing what others have suggested (report a bug), but we are having serious problems with this at my work and it's ...

Variables - they keep changing to lowercase!
Hi everyone,
I hope this is the right spot to post this. I have a lot of variables in my current project and they all worked swimmingly - for a while.
Now, randomly, the upper/lowercase changes. This is a REAL problem for Headings and Code examples and I can't seem to fix it (I've deleted the ...

Re: REMOVING Service folder from output?
Hi, Lydia,
Hi Amanda, the folders are created when you enable server-based output. The setting is in the HTML target on the publishing tab, at the bottom "Server-based output". However, the existance of the folders only probably does not account for the problems.

Hi there everyone - and help!! :)
I'm VERY new to Madcap Flare and inherited a large help system. I've been building and testing for the last few weeks but this week - everything busted. The only reason I can see that my application no longer reads the Default.htm file is this:
