Re: Broken URLs with Apache Tomcat

Has anyone encountered this issue with Flare 2019 r2?

We seem to be having this issue with the newest version of Flare.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Copying code text from PDFs

Hello all,

I've been sifting through and found similar posts, but none that quite meet my exact issue.

I have used the <pre> tag in Flare to format code snippets. I am outputting to both PDF and HTML and want to be able to copy the text, preserve the formatting, and paste it into my browser-based ...

Tripane TOC in mobile and tablet outputs

Hello all,

I have a HTML5 tripane skin output, with enabled responsive output.

At tablet and mobile sizes, when you click the menu button to open the navigation panel, the initial view of the navigation panel does not include the top level headings of the TOC. You just see one entry, called ...

Re: Add external link to logo in HTML5 output

Hello all,

Just picking up on this post again. Dave Lee - you're JQuery tip is very helpful, thank you. However, in my tripane HTML5 skin the link to our external website from the logo only seems to work from the web medium. When the Help screen size is reduced to tablet or mobile mediums, the link ...

Re: Link Viewer Associated Targets

Hi all,

I am having a similar issue regarding the "Associated Targets" panel in the Link Viewer. There are graphics in my project that are not referenced by any topic, and do not link to any topic, and yet they are listed in the Associated Targets panel. I don't understand how a graphic can be in a ...

Re: Navigation Slide Out Button image missing in mobile

Hello,

I have encountered the same issue. As you found, I can fix it externally in the mobile stylesheet, but this is not respected when I republish the Help. Did you figure out how to make the change in the Flare skin editor?

I'd be grateful to know if / how you got to the bottom of this one ...

Auto-numbering inheritance

Hello all,

I have a h1 style with auto-numbering set. I also have a h1.frontMatter style, with no numbering set. However, the h1.frontMatter style appears to inherit the numbering from h1, even when I open the style properties of h1.frontMatter and delete the numbering text from the "Auto-number ...

Cover graphic

Hello all,

In the past, I have created a cover page with a full size graphic by creating a page layout that has a full size decoration frame, then linking to the image via the background property of the frame.

I am currently helping a colleague with a new project. When I follow the above steps ...

Aligning TOC items in HTML5 Tripane output

Hello all,

I am creating a tripane HTML5 output and would like the TOC items in the navigation panel to be aligned.

For TOC entries that contain sub-topics, I have used an icon. For topics that do not contain any sub-topics, I have not used any icon. Despite the use of the icon for some of the ...

Re: Top Nav formatting

Thanks both kwag_myers and Paul, very helpful :)

As well as the pointers that you gave me, I noticed that my output was somehow referencing an old stylesheet, despite me pointing the topics to a new stylesheet. To fix this, I removed the old stylesheet from the project folder all together, and ...

How to make content fit full page?

Hi all,
One more question from me on this wet Friday afternoon!
How do I make the body text fill the entire page size in a Top Nav output? I have checked the stylesheet and there is nothing set in the max width of the <body> or <p> tags. I tried setting this to 100%, but it made no difference ...

Re: Responsive button in Top Nav home page

Thanks so much Dave, that CSS has done the trick! :) I knew I was missing something in the CSS, but didn't really know where to start.
If you know of any good books on CSS, let me know. Thanks again.

Re: Responsive button in Top Nav home page

Thanks a lot for the tips. Unfortunately, that didn't fix the issue that I am seeing.

With just 100% width added, the button ran off the page to the right in the laptop view. The tablet and mobile views had the same issues as before. With both 100% width and padding 0.5em added, the button was ...

Re: Top Nav formatting

Good spot, but Default_Lavastorm.css is the correct stylesheet. Lavastorm - HTMLTopNav.css is an older css file that I had just applied to the topic for testing a few minutes ago to see if the output had the same issue (which it did).

Re: Top Nav formatting

Thanks a lot for the quick replies.

Dave, I'm not sure what I have potentially changed, I have changed a few things in the stylesheet and can't really pinpoint it to anything. I applied an older stylesheet and republished and still got the same issue.

I've attached the CSS file, and below is the ...

Responsive button in Top Nav home page

Hello guys,

I am trying to include a responsive button on the home page of my top nav output. To do this, I created a div, which I based on one that was in Flare's original home page. I edited the margin left and right settings of the div to make the button display correctly on a laptop screen ...

Re: Importing From Word 'Object' Error

Hello all,

Does anyone have any more thoughts on why it is not ...
