Resources Folder and .mcbook in PDF Output

Hi, all!

I had been using MadCap Flare 2.5.2 to produce .chm and .doc output.

Now, I am using a trial version of MadCap Flare 4.1 so I can output to PDF.

When I produce PDF output, I also produce a Resources folder and .mcbook output.

Do I need to include the Resources folder and the .mcbook ...

Upgrade from 2.5.2 to 4.1

Hi, all!

I have been using MadCap Flare 2.5.2 to generate .chm and .doc output.

The 2.5.2 is installed on my old laptop.

I was issued a new laptop and told to go to the MadCap Flare download site - which features a trial version of 4.1.

Can I install 4.1 on my new laptop and then import my 2.5.2 ...

Internal Text Editor - Thank You

Hi, all!

I'm using MadCap Flare 2.5.2 to produce .chm output.

I couldn't figure out why my output had an underline where I had not specified an underline.

So, using the lessons I have learned from this forum, I opened the topic with the Internal Text Editor.

That's when I saw that there was ...

Re: Runtime Error Message

Hi, Lisa!

Brilliant idea!

I followed your advice and I linked to the MadCap site and the link works - there has to be something wrong with the company intranet address that I am linking to.

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction!!

Thanks,

Fran

Re: Runtime Error Message

Lisa,

Hi! I really appreciate your offer to look at the hyperlink info in the Internal Text Editor.

The hyperlink goes to our company intranet and I can not post it - I really do appreciate your offer to help - but I cannot take you up on your offer.

Thank you so very much!

Re: Runtime Error Message

Hi, Lisa!

I am selecting text first and then clicking the hyperlink button.

I am linking to a company website that is outside of my project. I have already checked to see if the address that I had been linking to has changed. The address is the same.

Thanks for your suggestions - I really ...

Re: Runtime Error Message

Hi, Lisa!

Thanks for your fast response.

I have three separate hyperlinks in my topic. Two of the hyperlinks work.

When I click the third hyperlink, the runtime error message displays.

I deleted the third hyperlink and then re-inserted the third hyperlink. Same error message.

I have opened up ...

Re: Adding Page Breaks

Kevin and Richard,

Thanks for your advice.

I'm still learning about stylesheets - I looked around in the Flare stylesheet section - I couldn't figure out where to set up the page break in print medium stylesheet.

Where would I start to set up this stylesheet?

Thanks,

Adding Page Breaks

Hi, all!

I'm using MadCap Flare 2.5.2 to produce MS Word output. I'm single sourcing to also produce .chm output.

After I build my output and review the output, I see that the page breaks are in awkward locations. For example, step 4 will display at the end of one page and the picture that ...
