Re: footnote placement after table
wow, this has been a feature request for 10 years. I would like to see the same. There is no "end of table" option for the footnote. What is the recommended workaround? Footnotes at the bottom of the page don't show up in HTML5 online viewing, either. Related feature request from 2008: htt...

Re: Generate list of topic headings in side panel with a pro
Psider, Thank you. Because of your message, I tried a few other things and I think I got it. In the Menu proxy, select (default), then deselect "Context sensitive" and under depth, select "2."
It works! It only shows H2s within the topic.
Thank you!

Re: Generate list of topic headings in side panel with a pro
Note, the new topic menu in Flare allows you to add a TOC of the headings on the page, but does not allow you to select which headings. It only allows you to set Depth. So, if you only want a list of the H2 headings on the page, you cannot use the proxy because it will include H1 and H2. If you want...

Re: TOC based on headers within topic
This is great! Thanks Dave, Corinna, & Yehuda for your contributions. I only wanted to see h2-level headings, so i modified this line: /* find all h2 and h3 on page. Only count visible headings */ $("h2:visible,h3:visible").each(function() { to this /* find only h2 on page. Only count ...

Re: General settings
I have Chrome set as the default browser on my computer. When I try to preview my files in Flare as PDF or view any of Flare's help links that lead to PDFs I get an annoying message that "Adobe Acrobat does not support Internet Explorer's Enhanced Protected Mode (EPM). Either install the lates...

Re: Using a grammer checker with Flare
I am in the same situation. I would love it if Flare integrated with Grammarly or ProWritingAid.

Re: Sequence contains more than one element
Thanks, all. Good tips that I will pass on to my team as best practices. Always do edits, moves, and renames in separate check-in sessions. Check-in each change before making the next one. I am, again, embarking on using Central to share our Flare project and hope this works. If not, I'll be back...

Re: Sequence contains more than one element
This is a horrible bug. Must fix. I did the same workaround before, but it does not give me confidence in the source control capability. Also, how will the whole team feel being harassed by such errors? This error completely prevents us from even undoing the offending change. The error just hijacks ...

Re: DRAFT watermark
I would like to see a feature just allowed us to define a watermark under the PDF Options setting in the target, too. This is a LOT of work for a DRAFT watermark. What I did... For book pages: Created a watermark DRAFT png file. Copied the set of .flpgl pages that I use for my books (Chapter_UG.flpg...

Re: All Flare WebHelp content appears underlined in Chrome
Thanks Kristen. They have tried at least one of those and it did not work. I hope MadCap is reading this, too. I'd prefer to know when the MadCap bug fix so we don't need to invest in this multiple times. Various teams at my company are finding different issues with the "localhost" solutio...

All Flare WebHelp content appears underlined in Chrome
Has anyone seen this and/or resolved it? I could not find this issue resolved on the MadCap Software forum, although they do list many similar Chrome bugs. For example, here is a view of our web help. Create Offerings - Google Chrome_2015-12-09_13-04-07.png When I hover my cursor over the content pa...

Thank you, ChoccieMuffin. You are right. The screen display % zoom setting was the culprit!

Re: Auto-generating subtopics from chapter topic
- Because the topics are modular, they may not contain a lot of text and can look odd in web outputs, so we created a master page with a breadcrumbs proxy and mini-TOC proxy for web outputs. The small topics do look odd in web outputs. To me, that is the essence of the request: to be able to use mo...

Re: Extra Line Spacing (since six days ago) in Output
We are having a similar issue with extra line spacing in the PDF output. It was working one day, then not the next, with no change to the stylesheet. p tag line-height is set to "normal" and "print" medium is in use. Problem occurs on one person's machine, but not on mine, so I c...
