Re: New code snippet editor - PDF output looks like a table
I'm thinking about switching over to Flare's code syntax instead of a custom one we created before they introduced it. We have a similar styling issue created by the <pre> elements. We created a custom <pre> style for our code snippets - and it looks like you have something similar. Flare's snippets...

Re: Aligning slideshows in page?
Bedford's solution left aligns the content of the slides but not the slideshow as a whole.
I'm trying to do fixed width left-align but the slideshow as a whole is firmly centered no matter what.

Re: Flare 2021: "Links used in header or footer frame" PDF W
I'm also getting this warning on every PDF since the 2021 update. The only things that might be considered as links in my headers/footers are variables plus the schema previously mentioned. Is this warning a false positive or should I change my page layouts? Also - the new warning isn't listed in th...

Re: HTML5 Output not displaying in iframe with Flare 2020
We have the same issue with our HTML5 output being blank in the iframe we use to display the doc in our product. We've narrowed it down to this segment of code in MadCapAll.js: MadCap.Utilities.MessageBus.PostMessageRequest(parent,"DEBUG-AddLine",[f],null); Removing that segment from MadCa...

Related Topics Control Labels
I recently started using the Related Topics control in Flare and I've just received back the first translation update since then. I notice that the label for the control is not translated. In the Text Editor view, I can see that this is an attribute (mc-label) of the control. Are these labels being ...

Back to Top button in SideNav
I'm trying to implement this Back to Top button - https://codepen.io/rdallaire/pen/apoyx I've made a few changes (e.g. I'm not using font-awesome) and it works, except when the browser is wide and displays the Side Navigation panel. I think this is caused by either one of the following issues: When ...

Conditionally hide the Menu Proxy
I'm using the SideNav Template and I've also added a menu proxy to provide a topic content list based on the headings in the topic. However, I would like to hide the proxy entirely if there is only the primary heading and no sub-headings. I feel like this should be possible just with CSS but I can't...

Flare Metadata Causing SVN Conflicts
I run a small team of writers and we frequently work within the same projects, and occasionally on the same topics. We do not use Flare's inbuilt source control but instead manage it manually with TortoiseSVN. Genuine conflicts are rare because we are rarely editing the same parts of the same topics...

Typical, I find my own answer after browsing the forum for similar problems.
Close Analyzer and Flare and delete the content in your projects Analyzer folder.

Undefined Conditions Report - False Positives
I inherited a large Flare project that uses a lot of conditions in ways that aren't always ideal. I decided to start removing unnecessary conditions and then use the Undefined Conditions report in Analyzer to locate and remove them from content. However, I've now run into a problem with false positi...

Re: Losing spaces with segmentation
Are you seeing the spacing lost in the actual exported version of the Lingo project? The XML looks correct to the XLIFF specification, and should rebuild the spaces when it's output to a new project. This reminded me of another issue I'd read--if you check the text editor in Flare, what kind of spa...

Losing spaces with segmentation
I've scouted around a bit but I can't find an answer to this issue. When Lingo is exporting a bundle (of Flare topics) for translation, the segmentation of translation units is dropping the spaces between sentences. I can't seem to find any function to control or prevent this. Example Unit: One of t...
