Hi Alex,
I think you're right. Will try the <div> tag suggestion and see if that works. If not, copy and paste will have to do.
Thanks,
Lorraine

Create snippets for an entire topic
Hi, I am having trouble creating a snippet from an existing topic. I need to create a snippet for the entire topic. When I select what I want in the snippet all I get is the last piece of content selected. Is this doable in MCF v12? If so, how? If not, do I need to copy/paste sections of the existin...

What are the steps to creating a PDF output?
Hi, I would like to create a PDF output using the content that already exists in my project. I need to know how do I begin. I started reviewing the User Guide, but it's a bit overwhelming and has a lot of information. Here's what I like to do. Use the content in my project to create the PDF output. ...

Import Flare project to create a new Flare project
Hi, I imported a Flare project to create a new project to reuse some of the topics from the source project. I tweaked the topics needed and styles for the new project. I deleted the topics that I no longer needed. However, when I build my project the deleted files are regenerated and reappear in my ...

Hi, Has this happened to anyone? I published my project to the web server set up for me by my colleagues. Everything looks good except that the Printer icon that is part of the Skin that I selected is missing. The functionality is there when I mouse over the blank area and when I click a Preview pag...

Added stylesheets are not applied to HTML page
Hi, A coworker designed a new Welcome HTML page for me which I imported into MadCap Flare. I also added the CSS related to the design. However, the CSS is not being applied to the HTML page. I then tried to copy/paste the HTML coding into MadCap's Flare text editor. That didn't work either. Any sugg...

Re: TOC panel changes when resizing browser window
Hi Nita, Thanks for the follow-up. I was merely trying to show what the TOC panel looked like when the responsive output was enabled. I did disable it. Ok, so based on your input once I have the styles updated for the tablet and mobile devices then I can enable the responsive output feature and the ...

Re: TOC panel changes when resizing browser window
Hi Dave, Yes, I have done that already based on Nita's suggestions. What I am trying to figure out is if I have to create a different style sheets for each output (device). I was under the impression I didn't have to do that. One for web, tablet, and mobile device. How do I do that? Thanks for your ...

Re: TOC panel changes when resizing browser window
Hi Nita, I've attached the screen shot. I am using the LightGreySky skin which is a pretty clean skin. I customized the style sheet for web output and disabled the responsive output feature for now. However, when I resize the browser window, my customized TOC panel disappears and is replaced with th...

Re: TOC panel changes when resizing browser window
Hi Nita,
Thanks for the follow-up and info. I made the changes you recommended and it worked. Ok, so I have to create customize styles for the different mediums. I thought I didn't have to do that because of the responsive HTML 5 feature. What am I missing?
Sincerely,
Lorraine

Re: Change Dropdown arrow colors
Hi MacCap Flare newbies, I figured this out after a bit of trial and error. Here's what I discovered. You cannot edit the color of the Dropdown arrows with the Stylesheet editor. The images were created using Fireworks. I tried using MadCap Capture to edit the colors, but no can do. Luckily, I had F...

Change Dropdown arrow colors
Hi everybody, I have used the Dropdown feature in couple of tables. The arrows act like an expand all or collapse all. The left arrow is grey and I am assuming this is the closed state. The down arrow (open or collapse all state) is MadCap's default green color which I want to change. I don't want t...
