Hi Gurus

I have Flare but I have an opportunity to work with some people who are using oXygen. I would be using their files, contributing new files, and generating pdf/Word output. How compatible are these two software packages?

Thanks for the reply. My headers and footers do not show up, and my paragraph spacing seems to be different.

I can generate my PDF target no prob but when I generate a Word doc the formatting is not accurate (paragraphs flow onto the next page etc) and my headers and footers do not show up.

Any ideas?

Yes, four different headings all in a single picture. I will check what you suggest.

I am trying to figure out why my headings are not lining up equidistant from headers on pdf pages. Sometimes there is a lot of space and sometimes very little. It seems random.

I want to bind to Cloudforge/Subversion but when I click the Project Path - Browse button in the Bind Project dialog box (in Flare 10) and enter my credentials nothing happens.

I am wondering about best practices with respect to document version control. I do not have access to a Source Control system and likely will not get one for a while. But the question is sort of unrelated to Source Control and more related to document numbering.

I need a source control system for the Flare projects I am producing and I am not sure which ones to take seriously.

I'm looking for relatively easy setup plus reliability and transparency with Flare (and hopefully low cost).

Does Flare have any capabilities that would allow relational database values to be entered via variables?
Could I populate multiple fields based on one field choice? (For instance, choose a person's name and have the email populate automatically?)

I am wondering about how to approach the logical problem of having a single level 1 heading followed by several level 2 headings with their associated topic text.
Do I put H1 in a topic of its own, or should I always add text under H1 to make it a complete topic?

Hi I am new to Flare. I'm using Flare 10.2.2. I am trying to add a new topic. When I assign a page layout to this topic, it works, but reverts to an incorrect page layout when I save, exit and reopen.
