I had this happen with Subversion - the dialog was hanging indefinitely - and the cause turned out to be an invalid SourceControlDatabaseRoot property in the .flprj file.
I have no idea how this property got a bad value. Very strange.

For me, 64-bit Ghostscript solved the problem.
I thought I had the right version of Ghostscript, but I must have just updated the 32-bit version.
Windows Compatibility had no impact.

I've got to the bottom of this problem, in my case anyway.
