Output from WebHelp - why change my username in the path?
Something changed in Flare 6 that's causing me issues. When I build WebHelp output the output goes into "C:\DoohickeyPro\Output\MyName\MyHelp" but MyName is changed if it includes a period. For example, my username is steve.anderson and the output is put in "C:\DoohickeyPro\Output\ste...

Search Highlight gone wacky on Firefox?
Hey folks, We've been using flare for several years now. Suddenly today, in Firefox only, search highlighting doesn't disappear when you click a new item. So if you click several items, the highlighting stays on until you refresh the browser, which makes the highlighting useless and confusing. This ...

Lost the ability to customized the toolbar?
I'm working on a WebHelp output in Flare 4, and I don't see a link in the Skin editor for the toolbar anymore. Reading the help suggests it should still be there, but I don't see it. Here's what I do see,
Any ideas?

Re: WebHelp AIR - Object reference error
There were a couple of HTML (not XHTML) files in my project. Fixing those solved the problem.

Re: Cannot get air installation package to generate
My problem turned out to be that I had a couple of non-XML files in my project. When I fixed those, everything generated fine, so, maybe multiple JVMs aren't a problem

Re: Upgraded to version 2, can no longer start Analyzer
I got it to open by doing a search for every directory with the word Analyzer in it, either deleting the directory or renaming it, and then starting up again. That includes the Analyzer folder in my Application Data directory. As a side-effect, I have to re-register, but that was no big deal. Sadly,...

Re: Upgraded to version 2, can no longer start Analyzer
No, this happens when Analyzer starts up. I see the splash image, then this. No UI, no nothing.

Upgraded to version 2, can no longer start Analyzer
I was using Analyzer V1 with no problems, but then upgraded to V2, and now the program won't start. I've uploaded an attachment, analyzerv2_startup_error.jpg If it didn't work, here's the text of the dialog: MadCap Analyzer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconveni...

Re: Cannot get air installation package to generate
What about those of us that need more than one JVM? Am I doomed to never be able to generate AIR help because I need two JVMs?

WebHelp AIR - Object reference error
Just for kicks I thought I'd try to see what the WebHelp AIR output looks like. When I build it, though, I get the dreaded "Internal error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object." Any ideas? Normal webhelp builds fine for the project. There are some errors when building webh...

I like Analyzer, but ...
I really need to be able to use it as a command-line tool. I love that I can generate output from Flare using the command-line, but I hate that I cannot analyze the output without having to open up a UI. Not having a command-line tool limits the usefulness of Analyzer for big projects. I can't be as...

Re: Browser support
We don't use MOTW, but we find Flare's WebHelp to work great in IE and FF, just not so good in Safari.

Re: Browser support
I'm running into a problem with Flare 2.5, WebHelp, and Safari, both on Windows and Mac. The content displays just fine, but none of the Index, Search, etc., tabs work.
