Suppressing printing of autonumbered text
Hi, I have been asked is there is a way to "suppress" the printing of the chapter numbers for my auto numbered h1 styles, but still keep the auto numbering for h2, h3 etc to follow the h1 "number". For example I have a topic that has h1 - Introduction h2 - Management Team h3 - Fi...

Hi, I am not very well versed in CSS, so looking for some advice on how to learn how to accomplish the following. I would like to have my dropdowns look differently. I'd like to: Change the open and closed icons from (minimally) project to project Change the size and weight of the text in the header...

Re: TOC based on headers within topic
So my expectations are in sync with what has been developed -
Referencing the feature to build TOC in a topic from the topic headings - All that is generated is a TOC. The TOC does not provide the user with anything like a bookmark capability, correct?

ChoccieMuffin,
I had watched Scott's webinar, but wasn't quite sure of the approach.
Now it makes perfect sense.
Thank you very much for your input.

I am going to be developing a "Build" project which is going to import multiple existing Flare projects. These projects were developed without being aware of the possibility of them being imported along with other projects that have the same file and folder names. Does anyone have a list o...

Re: How to add a disclaimer/note on last page only?
I have received a similar requirement, but the "statement" needs to be at the end of each topic.
Just so I understand, to get this to work, the topic(s) would need to be manually edited to add the div tags and "statement", correct?

Re: Struggling with PDF output
I have watched suggested webinars, have made several attempts at producing what my business requires, but still not able to produce a satisfactory result. I think that I may have to revert to creating a snippet, containing what I want to print in each topic, then applying a conditional tag setting f...

Re: Struggling with PDF output
ChoccieMuffin, I appreciate your response very much. Thanks for taking the time to help. I have been attempting to do as you described, but I am still struggling. How / where did you learn the "ins and outs" of PDF generation in Flare? Perhaps I should have asked if someone could recommend...

Dave,
It appears that it becomes a learning experience based upon each publishers specific requirements.
Thanks for your suggestions.

Hi, Our business has been using Flare for a couple of years or so and has developed many independent web based projects that use conditional tags quite extensively to filter "who can see what". Recently, we realized that these independently published projects pose some issues, most importa...

Re: TOC based on headers within topic
Dave, I think the problem isn't actually at the top of the topic; its when you link to an anchor in the topic. Then the target appears at the top of the page, which in this case, is below the sticky header, if that makes sense. I believe this is what I'm experiencing. I have the "sticky" ...

Re: TOC based on headers within topic
Ok, so I was successful at implementing this suggestion and it's a great addition. I "extended" it to include h1 as well. I have made the navigation section "sticky" at the top of the page, but I'm having trouble showing the content when I select one of the nav links. The body co...

Is there a link to download Flare 2017 Help so one can get help while offline?
I get the fact that the software needs to be connected to the internet to validate license, but once validated, I'd like to use Flare wherever I am (like on an airplane).

Destinations and conditional tag settings
Hi -
I have noticed that there is the ability to change the conditional tag properties on a destination, but I'm having a little difficulty understanding its purpose and how to get effective use from these settings.
Help appreciated.

Managing Hyperlinks across projects
I have the requirement of creating a hyperlink from one project topic to another project topic.
Thinking is that I create a bookmark in the "target" project but after that, not sure where to go.
Am looking for the best practice to accomplish.
