However, I am now trying to output to MS Word. The Word file output in Print Layout view is a complete mess, but everything appears fine in Outline view.

Okay, I found the answer.

Re: Adding javascript to get Insight analytics from HTML5 He

Thanks I tried to past the script above the <\head> tag in the code and it failed. The script was illegal, but I was able to save and at least start the build before it failed.
However, now the following appears at the top of all HTML 5 pages:
/**/

Deleting this in the code makes the code ...

OT: New role at work

I am now officially part of the QA team, though, as a Tech. Writer, I have been doing QA/UX work at the same time for years.
Can anyone recommend a course online for intermediate to advance QA or UX professionals.

Thank in advance

I figured it out. The custom button name (not the tooltip) must not include whitespace.

Hi all,
Using Flare 2017 r2 on Windows 10.
I've created a custom topic toolbar button for HTML5 output.
Now I want to link the button to a PDF file that will be in the same output folder as the Web output.
The PDF file may not exists at the time that the output is compiled.

Custom button image fails to display

Hi all,
I am using Flare 2017 r2 on Windows 10.

I've added a custom button to my topic toolbar, but for some reason the image I made for it will not appear in the button.
I placed the image in the skin's Style > buttonName > Background > Image filed with no luck.
What am I missing?

Changing a pagelayout from the CSS

Using Flare 12.
In my MasterStyleSheet, I created a new p.FigureCenter class. In the PrintSupport declarations, I set ‘page-break-after’ and ‘page-break-before’ to always. Now I would like to change the default PageLayout for the class to ‘ChaptersLandscape’ (not FR or EL).
It is the Word ...

How do I float an image in the left margin of my PDF output

Sorry if this is a little too fundamental, but I am still getting the hang of Flare and CSS.
My question is how do I float an image in the left margin of my PDF output which is aligned to the next paragraph? For example, a Note icon in the left margin with note text to the right of the icon.

Changing div.topichero Image with a variable

How do I make this image change based on the output target?
I assume it is some variation "How would I create a variable that is linked to an image?" (viewtopic.php?f=75&t=26687)
but I just can't find it.

Thanks in advance

Re: Question about DIVs to control the
width

Thanks all, After waking up from a coffee induced coma, I just added
div.Alignment
{
max-width:800px;
margin-left: 50px;
}
to my css file and

to my MasterPage file between

.

It's amazing to see how the brain works -when it doesn't. :shock:

Question about DIVs to control the
width

Hi,
Working with Flare 11 in Windows 7.
I have a question about DIVs. I haven’t used them in a while and I need a refresher on creating a DIV that fixes the
width to a max width. I do not want the topic body to be the width of the browser window in full screen.

Re: Changing the color of text on the first page of a PDFcha

I did this and only the headings appeared with the new color. Any idea how I can apply it to the rest of the text on the page?
I ended up using devs, but if you have a more elegant solution please let me know.

Re: How do I add a condition to a CSS style

Thanks for your reply.
I ended up just using a <dev> with a color property on the text that falls on the first page of a chapter. The problem is in the future if text is added or deleted I need to remember to move the </dev> code. I would have preferred to have somehow automated this process.

Changing the color of text on the first page of a PDFchapter

I am using Flare 11 and I have a question about Flare’s tripane PDF output.
It the standard Flare 7X9 Chapter page, the color of the body text on the first page of a chapter is different from the color on subsequent pages.
My question is where is the font color set and how do I change it?

Re: How would I create a variable that is linked to an image

Thanx Devjoe.
Your solution works great in the topics, but I am now trying to put the code in a decorative frame in my Title7X9.flpgl file.
When I output the project to PDF, there is no image, just empty space.
Any suggestions?

Thanx in advance

How would I create a variable that is linked to an image?

Using Flare 11.1
I am working on branding my PDF output and I have multiple company logos.
I am trying to work within the existing process as follows:
1. I put each logo in a Resource/image/variable_image folder.
2. I go to each target and add a variable called BrandLogo.
