Allow commenting in PDF output
Hi, We're writing tutorials for instructor-led courses. From the Flare project, we have a target for the student version and one for the instructor guide, which include discussion points, answer keys, etc. Currently we use the PDF Options page to restrict editing and copying of text and graphics. We...

Files moved in Global Project are not updating in Child
Hello,
When I move files in my global project into new sub-folders, the new sub-folders and files are imported into the child, but there are also duplicate files in the old locations. I have the Delete stale files option on in the flimp. What am I missing?
Thanks!

Re: Table of Revisions?
Thanks!
I am on the same page about using the import Excel feature.
It's pretty unlikely at this point that this project will use source control. I may try to capture the author data with a file tag.
Thanks to both of you for your input!

Re: Table of Revisions?
Thank you! This is definitely a step in the right direction. I'm playing with this to see if there is a way to simplify the process for the group that will be working with this project.
One question: Where does the data for the "User" column come from?
Thanks again!

Table of Revisions?
Hi, I'm creating a Flare template for department of people who are not and will probably never be Flare ninjas. They want to include a Table of Revisions in the PDF documents that they will output from Flare. Is there any way to generate such a table and auto-magically populate it with data from a t...

1 topic, different Masterpage for each output?
Can I assign a different master page to a topic (or set of topics) depending on the target output? This set of topics uses a separate masterpage from target A, but could use target B's default masterpage.
TIA

Controlling Breadcrumb items
I know you can increase the number of breadcrumb items in a path by increasing the number in the mc-breadcrumbs-count, but Is there any way to limit backwards the path goes? For example, instead of Topic A>Topic B>Topic C>Topic D>Topic E>Topic F , I'd like to see Topic C>Topic D>Topic E>Topic F . Th...

Re: Linking Breadcrumbs to a second TOC
Sorry, I was trying to make a distinction between linking one TOC to another (via the Properties dialog) vs. copying the contents of the second TOC into the structure of the master TOC. Are those the same thing?

Re: Linking Breadcrumbs to a second TOC
Bummer. Feature request submitted.
Do you think that linking a secondary TOC to the master could be a workaround, or am I really just limited to adding that secondary TOC to the master?
Thanks

Thank you very much, Nita!
One more question: If I save a project in 2017 r2, will I no longer be able to open it in v12?

Is there any way to limit report results to a specific folder like you can with Find/Replace? If not, definitely an enhancement request.

I need the format a fifth level in the side menu. Unfortunately the Menu Skin Editor only lists four level items to format. Is there a way to add levels to this?
Thanks!

Multi-level lists not respected in CHM output
We use complex selectors in our CSS to style our multi-level lists. Everything looks great in the HTML5 output, but for some reason the CHM does not respect the indents on second-level items (ol or ul). We had a similar problem with our print output, but that was solved by creating a different left ...

Re: Windows 10 - Fonts problem
We just came upon a problem similar to this. However, due to security reasons, many of our end-users are not connected to the internet. As I understand it, the @fontface direction goes out to the internet to get the proper font. Other than having our CSS back to a system font, is there anything that...

Re: Controlling lists with Autonumbering vs. Complex Selecto
Thanks all for the very good information! Are there any advantages to using AutoNumbering styles? We are coming from many years of working with FrameMaker & RoboHelp so everyone here is very comfortable using styles. Hopefully, I can convince my team that complex selectors are the way to go. Wendy
