Fatal errors d2h/Word after recent Office update
Hi Serious D2H problems after (monthly) Office update on Wednesday 25th Jan. 2023. The day before everything was working fine. First a Word error when opening document (Word has not been installed/problems with D2H (start) templates) After document has been opened though, the (NetHelp) project does ...

Corrupted bullets Manual Target output
error_d2h_manual2.png Hi all, I experienced a strange bullet display after I generated Manual output for my projects some days ago. After the first bullet a Number style (1) appears, then again a bullet followed by a Number style (2) again, etc. See attached. So far, I have never had problems with ...

Re: Fatal errors after recent Windows/Office update
Hi all,
Yes, updating the custom templates (Madcap sent me the updated default D2H templates) did the trick, and the problem has been solved now! Like Jack said, open template, make a change, save it, undo the change and save it again!
Good luck!

Re: No more live links in PDF (manual) output
Thanks Jack for your comments. It is nice to have the same D2H configuration in case of troubles :) Guess what? I regenerated PDFs today from already created manual .docs and ............it does work now for some reason. Very strange. I first thought it was because I changed the output template a bi...

No more live links in PDF (manual) output
Hi all,
Without changing something in my D2H projects, suddenly all PDF are being created without live links (although that setting = Yes).
So hyperlinks and links in the Table of contents do NOT work anymore in the pdf's.

D2H and Sharepoint
Hi all, Does anyone have experience with D2H (V6) and using Sharepoint? Am I right that Sharepoint can be used for storing/managing the source files, and that D2H target output can be directly published to Sharepoint? But the target building must be done from the local stored projects, so entire pro...

Re: Problems after februari windows updates
Hi all, It seems Jack is right! I removed the footer's STYLEREF "heading1" from a source file, and the paginating went OK. In fact there is no need to have footers and headers in a source file, as it is all skipped when generating online (html) outputs. It comes from the Word Source templa...

Re: Build performance long documents in Office365
Hi Jack, I have the same configuration as you have, Windows 10, M365, D2H 6, and my projects (re)build very fast, about a few minutes or so. This is for both NetHelp and Manual/PDF builds. However I dont use a Master project for Manual builds. I do use a Master project for NetHelp (having 11 childs)...

Hi Rob I can't answer your question, as I have no experience with Disqus. What I am curious about is what made you decide to implement this functionality, and why for every topic? Is it also possible to only have one topic page with this discuss functionality? I did a quick test on your welcome page...

Hi,
I suddenly get this error when compiling NetHelp projects (which include a clickable image) stored on a network drive.
Compiling the same Word documents on local drive C: works fine.
Does anyone know how to solve this issue?
Thanks Sjouke

Hello Ubru, Probably the Topic Type linked to H3 = Conceptual (with Window = main), and the H4, H5, H6 have Topic Type = Procedural (with Window = proc). You can check this in Project > Styles > Paragraph styles > H1/2/3/4/5 etc. Here you can select a Topic Type In Project > Windows you can define t...

Hi all, I wonder when the next release of D2H is coming, since there hasn't been one since a very long time..... I am using the latest version V5, which is a very stable version fortunately, but I get the feeling the product is almost 'dead' and no developments take place anymore. The Madcap Flare p...
