I can't help you but I too have come across this issue and my boss has asked me to remove the loop, which you can't do.
Hoping someone has a solution I can use also.

Duplicate Title Tags causing SEO issue
Hi all, I am running into an issue with a topic in my guide which I can't make sense of. I constantly audit my site with SEMrush to check for errors and I have 2 errors that I have no idea how to get rid of. I'm confused because there is no difference to this particular topic and every other topic f...

Re: Unable to use CSH to HTML5 output with snippets in topic
Thanks all. I ended up reducing the snippet to contain only the reference text, and the h5 is the only thing that I need to manually repeat. That way I can bookmark on the heading and it will stay with the snippet text. It's a workaround but it works. I'm not sure if it's a bug or by design which it...

Re: Unable to use CSH to HTML5 output with snippets in topic
That's my issue, because I am wanting to call it at the bookmark but I can't if the snippet is the entire content of the bookmark I want to call. I'll find another way I guess.

Unable to use CSH to HTML5 output with snippets in topic
Hi, I am hoping this is something easy that I have just missed and can easily fix by being pointed in the right direction. I have a large field-based reference guide where each field needs to be able to be used with F1 help using ID's. My topic contains a snippet for a particular field, but I can't ...

Elasticsearch install on linux?
Reading the instructions here ( http://help.madcapsoftware.com/flare2018/Content/Flare/Search/Optimizing-Search/Elasticsearch/Installing-Elasticsearch-Remote-Server.htm ), it only mentions if you are installing to a Windows server, but our site is hosted on Linux. I am way past the realm of understa...

Re: Topic popups converted to regular hyperlinks in TopNav
Can I bump this back up and ask, obviously with Side Nav skin the same thing happens in Flare 2018. This isn't ideal as I now have a huge amount of warnings (4583), where I had configured popups of glossary terms instead of opening to a new page. I want pop-ups, in the context of what I am doing it ...

Re: Having an issue using Elasticsearch
Restarted the PC and have still had no luck getting it to build with ES. Right at the end of the compile is where it is having an issue, and it looks like it isn't connecting somehow. It's all over my head at this point. How do i get it to connect, or is it a firewall issue? Where I can I find out d...

Having an issue using Elasticsearch
I have recently upgraded to 2018 and converting my tripane to a Side Nav output. Everything is working great, except I cannot build with Elasticsearch enabled. Project builds fine when using MadCap search. I got an error that told me I need to install Java Development Kit 1.8, which is downloadable ...

Re: Need an X or Close on pop-up images
This looks great in theory, but I can't get it to work. I'm assuming because I want to get the X to appear on a Glossary popup, not an image. Is that a different class that I need to be using?
Apologies for my lack of Flare knowledge.

Glossary Term Link not auto linking
Hi all, This is a small issue overall but one which has just started and is more annoying than I first thought. I am writing a brand new guide from scratch and have all my glossary terms as topics. In each product topic, there are any number of glossary terms that need to be linked as a reference po...

Inhibit scrolling behind Glossary Topic popup
Not sure if this can be controlled by a Style in the css or there's an option that I can't seem to find, but I want to inhibit the scrolling of the topic behind the popup-topic which is a glossary term. Has anyone managed to do this? HTML5 Tripane output.
Many thanks.

Cheers for the help all. After much trial and error, learning and a lot of reading and tweaking, I think I have finally got it. Talk about jumping into the deep end. Re: Customising Search Bar
I know he provided it, which is great and I can see that it works. What I am having issues with however is the same settings and changes are not working in my project, which is where I need it to work. I don't know what I am doing wrong as I am sure I am following the instructions correctly.

Customising Search Bar
Hi all, I am very new to Flare and have jumped in at the deep end with a crash course in css, Flare as a whole and how to manipulate it. I have read Dave Lee's post here on Customising the HTML5 tripane skin https://forums.madcapsoftware.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=19584 , however I wonder if that ...

Re: 11>2017 Upgrade Toolbar Buttons lost in Output - Tripane
I figured this out. I noticed that I had some javascript in the toolbar page which I added to try to move the search bar to the left of the window rather than leave it where it is on the far right, which is a weird place for it to be.

Re: 11>2017 Upgrade Toolbar Buttons lost in Output - Tripane
Hi all, Thanks for responses so far. I have rebuilt my target multiple times with no change, the buttons are definitely not there. I am also definitely using the HTML5 - Tripane skin. Component Default Skins for Topic Toolbar is set to default, there's no other options from the drop down. Pressing E...

11>2017 Upgrade Toolbar Buttons lost in Output - Tripane
Hi all, I have been building my guide in Flare 11 with Tripane output, and I am really liking it (coming from Doc2Help). Today I upgraded to Flare 2017. I made no changes to the project from 11 and have opened it in 2017 with seemingly no issues. First thing I did was build the target to check the o...

Re: Fatal Word Error occurred: Object has been deleted
Hi mate, I started a completely new project using the settings from the project I was having issues with. Once I did that, I just made sure my templates were correct and all the files in the right spot and boom, working fine. It was odd because there was nothing I could see that changed the original...

Seems restarting the project is what fixes it. I used all the same settings and templates and it worked fine, so something has changed. Cheers.

Hi Sabine,
Nope, I am not sure if they are or not. Would a reinstall of Doc 2 Help put them back where they were supposed to go? I will give it a go.
