Re: Creating scrolling web pages with multiple topics

I have previously submitted a feature request to enhance the Insert Snippet user interface to let you insert a topic file as a snippet. Evidently nothing has come of it so far. :(

Re: Is there a "Smart Quotes" setting somewhere?

There is now a setting to convert quotes to smart quotes as you type. Not sure when it was added.
Select File - Options, then on the XML Editor tab, tick Replace straight quotes with smart quotes.

Thanks. I'll investigate some more; if I unearth anything useful, I'll add it here.

Unable to paste images from Flare output to Word

I need to be able to copy the content of a page from a Flare HTML5 output, and paste that content into Word. When I do so, images in the content don't get pasted - I only get the text. I can copy individual images (using "Copy Image") and paste them, but I need to be able to copy text and ...

Re: Create a Snippet from a Table

I also wanted to use snippets for table rows. I have submitted a feature request; let's see if it bears fruit.

Search Filter (Exclude)

Our product has thousands of parameters. In HTML5 output, I want to provide a topic for each individual parameter, with a search filter that will allow users to choose to search only the parameter topics. I also want to provide a search filter that will exclude all the parameter topics. The only way...

Re: Differentiating Search Results

Thanks, Dave. I like the idea of using CSS formatting based on the links - I hadn't thought of that. I'll give it a go.

Differentiating Search Results

Does anyone know if it's possible to differentiate search results (in HTML5 output)? I would like to be able to visually distinguish, for example, a release note from a help topic, or a technical topic from an end-user one. I'd like to be able to display an icon (or possibly a short piece of text) n...

Re: No width optional break?

Many thanks Paulie. I had actually tried that and was convinced it didn't work because a) I could no longer see in the text editor and b) when I previewed the topic as PDF the text didn't break. But following your advice I tried again and built a full PDF document, and the text wrapped fine.

Re: No width optional break?

I was just trying to find out how to add a "no width optional break" too. I'd love to know if Flare support got back to you with the answer.

Re: Capital Letters in Variables

I have a problem with capital letters in variables. I'm generating output for PDF, using the TOC depth for heading levels. The Capitalize transformation works fine for variables in the body of the document, but when I have a variable in a topic heading, the PDF "bookmarks" view has the var...
