Wrapping requests in MadCap js files

My question is specific to security but could be used for other purposes.

In our case, I've secured access to the online help for our web application. However, if the user logs out (in a different browser tab than the tab displaying help, for instance), I want to capture any requests back to the ...

Re: Changing highlight colr in TriPane Advanced Skin

Fwiw, I had to copy the images out of C:\Program Files\MadCap Software\MadCap Flare 12\Flare.app\Resources\WebHelp2\Desktop\Skins\Default\Stylesheets\Images and edit them. Then in the Skin editor, where images are used, you can point to your new files outside of Flare, and it will pull them into the ...

Changing highlight colr in TriPane Advanced Skin

We are pretty happy with most of this template out of the box for online doc, but we wanted to change that green highlight color. Unfortunately, it looks like it's baked into the images which appear to be embedded in the skin.

Do I need to take all those images and modify them and replace them in ...

Re: Printed PDF fonts are hard to read

Thanks for sharing all the great info Sarah!

Do you have any recommendations for the font in PDF? I played with Courier and Verdana, neither seemed great. I guess the color is too light as well, as you noted.

Printed PDF fonts are hard to read

Using the Tri Pane Advanced and not really changing anything so far, just filling in my content... the printed PDF font is very small and light-colored, hard to read both on the chapter summaries and inside the chapters when printed (i.e. both dark and white backgrounds). Seems like kind of an error ...

Sub-chapters in PDF

I would like to generate PDF where I have some sort of sub-chapter concept with numbering, like this:

CH 1 stuff
CH 2 things
CH 3 module
CH 3.1 module Fred
CH 3.2 module Barney
CH 3.3 module Wilma
CH 4 other stuff

In the online version, these are each sub-folders with topics underneath.

Is there ...

Initial set of files

Apologies if this has been beat on elsewhere, I tried sifting through the forums and such.

When you use a template to start a project (I used Tripane Advanced), you get a lot of files generated. While these are nice examples to have, as a new user, it's hard to know what is there as an example to ...

Re: Integration and security

I appreciate the suggestion, I may use that at some point.

What I ended up doing was using all the mime-types defined by Tomcat. Then I handle files different if the mime type is text/ or not - processing the file essentially as text vs binary and setting the response headers accordingly ...

Re: Integration and security

Hmmm... in the meanwhile, I tested serving up the output as Tomcat static files (no app-level security), and it worked. My guess was that the content-type on the return was different. Sure enough, fiddling with those in the app got me a bit closer - I'm getting a lot better output now, it is failing ...

Integration and security

So... I'm hoping this is just a stupid question and others have solved this... let's say we have a share drive where business users can publish their output whenever they want. This output is used for online help of a web application.

The web app is served by Tomcat. Tomcat can serve static files ...
