Re: Output formats menu won't dismiss

Hey Trish, I'm not aware of a fix yet - it still happens to me occasionally. Seems to happen more often when I have multiple displays, but that could be coincidence.

Sorry I don't have a more helpful update.

We're also experiencing the problem of MS Edge removing query strings on local file system. Is there really no other solution than the one offered by cdschroeder? I personally haven't heard of any other solutions since the one we implemented here. At the time I left my last role (where this workaro...

Re: Developing Training Materials

Our training team has created a series of videos and other materials for users to view as part of their overall training, and we're planning on providing links to these in the training area of the Help system. We would also like to include a form of some kind to allow users to be quizzed/certified ...

Re: Drop-down automatically expands text in output

Adding to my previous post: This issue seems to be related to tables only. Adding standard text within the drop-down stays collapsed. Now, I know that tables have previously worked for me and stayed collapsed withii the drop-down. So I wonder what has happened since then (I think it has been 2 vers...

Re: Developing Training Materials

I'm actually developing a training portal in Flare right now that I'm launching in January. It has both our help documentation and training documentation, interactive virtual training modules, etc. The idea is that this will eventually eliminate the need for an LMS. We are also trying to eliminate ...

I have just encountered this error using FM 2019 and Flare 2018R2. Did anyone get a resolution? I don't have personal experience in this area, but there was a more recent post regarding this issue - apparently FrameMaker 2019 isn't supported: https://forums.madcapsoftware.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&...

Re: Is it possible to really customize our online help inter

It's true that there are limits to what you can and can't do directly through the Flare interface (i.e., using skins and the stylesheet editor). But if you know CSS and some jQuery, Foundations, and/or Flexbox, there's very little you can't do one way or another. You just might need someone with web...

Re: how to Save settings before re-installing

IIRC, custom palettes are typically stored in the C:\Users\{username}\Documents\My Palettes folder and profiles are stored in C:\Users\{username}\Documents\My Profiles folder. If you don't find them, check your Public Documents. Worst case scenario, search your computer for *.capal (palette) and *.c...

Re: Invalid line-height: inherit error

In terms of the font awesome side of things, I just commented out the line-height declaration as we were not using it anyway. The weird thing in my case is that I haven't even downloaded the Font Awesome stylesheet. I'm just linking to the online file via the masterpage. So I can't comment out the ...

Unfortunately, that's correct. Central does not support branching.

But please, put in a feature request! If more people ask for it, they're more likely to implement it.

Re: Align - can I edit segments?

It's been a while since I last used Lingo, but IIRC, you can't edit or add segments using the Align tool. However, you can work around the issue by selecting every segment below the offending one and shifting them up (there's a button in the toolbar that switches segments by moving them up or down)....

I've been using GA for about a year now. It's useful, but I can't get the same search phrases and search phrases with no results reports from GA, and those are especially helpful reports. With a little bit of extra code, you can set up GA to report both search phrases and searches with no results. ...

It sounds like you need to increase either the right margin on the side menu, or the left margin on your topic content container.

If you need additional help, a screenshot and code sample will make it easier for us to give more specific ideas.

Go to your side menu skin and check out the font size for the Selected and 1st/2nd/3rd/4th Level items. side-menu-font.png If you clear the manually set values in these fields, it should automatically use the main font size you set (under Menu Item). Not by default. But you can set up a macro, then link that to a shortcut. For example, to set up an h1 macro: - Click a place in an open topic where you'd like to change the style to h1 (this is important - you can't click in the topic after you've started recording the macro, or the resulting macro...

What type of output are you generating? I use prism.js for HTML5 output and it works beautifully. It just doesn't work for printed output (but neither will any other JS solution).
