Add-ins not working
I recently had some problems with my Windows 10/64 Pro PC environment, and had to create a new user and transfer all my documents to it. Happily, all the Doc-to-help matters were taken care of without difficulty, and I can successfully build my big and complicated project. However, I can't use the D...

Re: Fatal Word error
PS.
If I delete the source file that appears to be causing the blow-up, and rebuild the project, D2H blows up with exactly the same message and circumstances on the next source file.

Fatal Word error
"Fatal Word error occurred: Object has been deleted." aborted That is the error I'm getting. In a project that has been compiling fine for years, this is suddenly happening as D2H works through one of my source document. This is exactly what shows: 3part1.docx (the 2nd source document) Pro...

Re: Are there Short-cuts?
I didn't ever thank Dr. Kamprowski and Sarah for the replies, but I do so now. They were quite helpful.
Thanks very much!

Performance with Word/PDF Output
I have numerous D2H projects, and I regularly produce NetHelp targets from them. Everything works fine and smoothly, I've been using D2H for many years. Recently I started producing Word/PDF targets from the various D2H projects, and everything also worked fine. The time taken to produce a Word/PDF ...

Are short cuts possible?
When I transfer my completed D2H project to the web, I wait quite a while for the 3000 files to upload. When I run a "build" on my D2H project, it takes 20 to 30 minutes for the process to finish. I have big and complicated source files. Many of the changes I make to the D2H project are mi...

Are there Short-cuts?
Here is my situation. 1. When I download a completed NetHelp file set to the hosting web site, there are approximately 3000 files . The uploading takes a while, as you can imagine. 2. When I generate new NetHelp output, Doc-to-Help takes about 20 to 30 minutes to finish the process. I have big sourc...

Doc-to-Help'er Seeks Contact Work
Doc-to-Help experienced user available for contract work. I'm a long-time user of Doc-to-Help and Microsoft Word, have done several conversions from <various> to Word / Doc-to-Help. Would like to do more. Would work remotely, with possible visits or short-term relocations to client site. I'm located...

Re: Themes not found
I wasn't able to figure out what was wrong with my installation--why Theme Designer wouldn't work--but I did find a work-around. I decided to re-install my copy of D2H, which is version 2014.1.0.925. I am running the latest version of Windows 10, 64-bit, with MS Office 365 (Word 2016). First, I made...

Re: Themes not found
Dr. K--
Is there any kind of log file that we could look at to see what D2H is looking for and failing to find?

Re: Themes not found
Another thing that I forgot to mention until now is that I am using Windows 10 and therefore OneDrive. All of my D2H projects are in OneDrive folders, NOT in C:\Users\alpac\Documents\My Doc-To-Help Projects. Everything works fine except my biggest and most complex D2H project, which I had to move to...

Re: Themes not found
I have Internet Explorer version 11 installed on my computer, but it has--as far as I know--no relationship with D2H. All my D2H results are displayed in Chrome. I occasionally use IE just to make sure everything looks right. ------------------------------------ I am thinking that perhaps I will re-...

Re: Themes not found
After the last experiment, I decided to try one more. I rename the existing "Themes" folder, and copied into its place the Themes folder from the old computer (where the problem does not occur). So I now have the exact structure of the Themes folder from a known-to-be-working environment. ...

Re: Themes not found
Thank you for your help. It is not possible to create a folder before creating the theme of the same name. The "ok" button in the "create new theme" dialog is greyed out as soon as you try to enter the name of an existing folder. ----------------------------- I don't know if this...

Thank you for your help.
I had already tried to create a new theme. When I do, I get the same error message as described above.

Re: Themes not found
Thank you, Dr. K. Unfortunately, that is not helpful. I had already checked that pointer, and it points to the location where the themes reside. The D2H error message doesn't say what file(s) it cannot find, so I don't know what it is looking for. All the standard themes, my custom themes, as well a...

Themes not found
I am using D2H 2014.1.0.925, as well as MS Word 2016/32. Over the years I have used several different standard themes--"Redmond, Sunny, Exite-Bike," etc. I have always been able to go to "Theme...Edit Theme" and pick from a list. Now, however, whenever I click "edit theme&qu...

Re: Broken Links
Thank you very much, Dr. Kamprowski. As always, your help is right on target and much appreciated. Your suggestion was just right and worked for me as you said. I had to completely re-link those where the text and the link were different, but the rest worked great. Thank you again.

Broken Links
I've been using Doc to Help for many years, and have many hundreds of links / cross-references in my source documents. I use the D2H "link" function to create these links, and they've worked fine through many versions of D2H and Windows. Today I noticed that ALL of my links in one very lar...
